I've only been collecting a lot of stuff since September or so. I started getting back into Transformers in 2001 when the RiD line came out. I bought pretty much all of the bigger Autobots and some of the Decepticons I really liked. I was never a fan of the beast formers, so I stayed away from a majority of the cons because of that. I stopped collecting for a while after that, and started to pick and choose once I happened to see the Alternators hit the shelf. I enjoy collecting Alts, Titaniums, and Cybertron. I'd like to expand into more G1 stuff. Without further ado, heres my humble collection.
Once again, I so do love it when someone puts their collection in a display case. It just looks so much better and less like something a little kid would have. Great looking case and I particularly like how you have them displayed. There is a good mixture of figures of different sizes and lines to keep things interesting. Plus you have some pretty choice figures in there. Very very nice sir (and good picture taking btw).
Alt Swindle: "I've fallen and i can't get up!" Love the collection. I hope to get a decent display case sometime in the future. i really like that one...
Many thanks for the comments. I'm a computer technician for a local school system, and one of the custodians at the intermediate school custom built it for me. It's made from some sort of Oak board (can't remember what it's called exactly). Everything has a nice tight finish. He charged me $360 stained. It's 6 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 18 inches deep if I remember correctly. I'm likely going to get him to build me another later this year a little wider. I think we're going to go with mounting strips on the rear so I can space things out a bit if things are taller so I won't waste as much space.
It pains me everytime I see Alt Sideswipe, Hound, wheeljack and Smokescren...those buggers are a bloody rarity in my country....waaaaaaa I can't find them anywhere...even if you can find them, you be scalped dry... BTW, your collection totally rocks! I love it!
ellesjauns you say? No longer have my Cobra in the stable but she was 467/487 rear wheel , before I put it back to stock and traded it on my craptacular Mazda3.
Ah dude, you sold it? Just razzin ya now I feel bad. Woulda been a good race too, I made 472/418 off the bottle, your TQ # would negate the weight difference. Get ur Cobra back!
Yep, I got rid of it sadly. I needed something that got better gas mileage and that was somewhat comfortable. It's was definately a fun ride! I may get another in the future, but at the same time I wouldn't mind trying something different. Possibilities are 86/87 GN, 00-02 T/A, Lightning, or...well I just don't know . If your interested in watching videos of the car, you can go to my myspace page and i've got a bunch of stuff on there. I think my id is cobraman04
I'll check the page out. Out of the cars you listed I'd go right back in a cobra, maybe a TA. But the cobra for $$ for HP.
