Ok, so here are some more detailed shots. I have all G1 from '84-'86, plus a few notables from '87. '84 Autobots '84 Decepticons '85 Autobots '85 Decepticons '86 Autobots '86 Decepticons Citybots (got a complete Fort Max for $320 shipped and he is in excellent shape w/ very white plastic (ok so I am bragging a little)).
G2 through Beast Machines G2 (only have a select few of these) BW Maximals (most of the show bots) BW Predacons (again, most of the show bots) More BW Maximals (the rest of the show bots, plus my favorites) More BW Predacons (the rest of the show bots, plus my favorites) BM Maximals (got em all) BM Vehicons (got em all)
great stuff and nice display. did you intentionally turn the missle on G1 Scourges head around or is that a mistake?
A few more here. Robots in Disguise (I have all of these as well, just not all of them are on display) Armada (a select few that were not total junk in my opinion) Energon (same thing as Armada, although the gestalts are quite nice I think) Cybertron Autobots Cybertron Decepticons World's Smallest TFs (I have all of the official ones, and man are they cool!!!) BT, BTA, Alts and MPs (All of them are there and all of them are BTs or BTAs, except for Mirage and Nemesis Prime, for obvious reasons. Now I am just going to have to find a way to arrange them to accomodate MP Starscream)
The second cabinet Spillover Beast Wars and Cybertron (didn't have room for these in the main cabinet) Spillover everything else (RiD, BW, BM, G1, Cyberton, Energon, Universe... a little bit of everything) Brave Max and Friends (minicons, Spychangers, LoC, and WST Dinobots (Snarl only for now, but more coming soon) (This is the picture that I get the most comments on. I personally really like it) Unicron and Primus (This looks absolutely awesome at night. All the details of both figures are highlighted by the spotlight)
Straight shot of both cabinets w/ the lights on Straight shot of both cabinets w/o the lights on That's it. I hope people like my collection.
Wow. I'm only looking at the thumbnails now, and i must say I'm impressed. Very much so. That Unicron/Primus display is beautiful all by itself! Have to take a closer look at the high res images tomorrow morning....
I got it from www.showcasedesigns.biz, a company that I highly recommend for the quality of their products, their absolutely excellent customer service (I bugged the lady numerous times and she was extremely helpful), and their very reasonable prices. And no, they didn't pay me to say any of that, I just really liked dealing w/ them. I spent way too many hours painting this thing (I asked them to leave it unfinished so I could paint it) and putting the figures into it (a solid week to be honest). The dimensions in case anyone is interested are 5'w x 6'h x 16''d, a pretty good sized cabinet. There are many many new figures in there that I couldn't fit into my old cabinets, but unfortunately I still cannot fit everything. I completed '84-'86 of G1 in the last year. I did complete Beast Wars, Robots in Disguise and the WST as well. I need to get a count of how many I did manage to fit in there, but I would say I am missing at least 150 out of the 597 that are in my collection. Anyway, this was/is the fruit of my labor and my $$$. Thanks for the comments guys.
Comparison shots of my Wheeljack progression. On the left is the first one I had, and have had for the longest. It is missing both spoilers, one of the pegs for the spoilers is broken off, both wings are missing, both rockets and launchers are missing, the paint is chipped on the front, it is dirty and the stickers are all peeling off. (One time a friend came over and was scared to touch anything on the G1 shelves, but just grabbed Wheeljack since he "looks like he is in really bad shape.") The middle one is the replacement I got about a month or two ago. It has one spoiler, both wings and one rocket and launcher. The front has slight chipping, it is slightly yellowed and the normal stickers are coming off, but overall is in really good shape. The right one is my brand new, pristine Wheeljack. It is absolutely white, came w/ mostly unapplied stickers (which I put on), all the accessories and paperwork, and no chipping whatsoever. I am very pleased w/ this one. It looks perfect and now Wheeljack is one of the jewels of my collection instead of being a throwaway. You really have to see these in person to appreciate the progression, but it is impressive. They go from yellowed and beat up on the one extreme, to slightly discolored in the middle and in pretty good shape, to absolutely pristine on the other extreme. I think it is cool to see what kind of shape the same toy can be in after 20 yrs. I love upgrading to better figures, although I don't see that happening again w/ Wheeljack. This one is just about perfect.
