Just wanted to share my Transformers cassette tape collection with custom cards. I want to build a acrylic display case to display them as you see here with cards above each tape. This way you can display them in the same Space uniformly and the custom cards show the alt mode of transformation. Love to hear what you think so far. Been collecting for 11 years now and do have doubles of each cassette in boxes and also the Encore sets as well as other Masterpiece sets. I just want to display one of each different kind here. Hi, Thanks ! Yes, did but sold to a friend a few years ago. KFC will be coming out with a G1 Grimlock colors this year 2015. Maybe all 5 Dinos and will be much nicer then what I could do. Keep collecting !
Well done, sir! I love this recent influx of cassette collections surfacing. I really like the level of detail you went to use custom bio cards. Interesting how the non-G1 cassettes are near the bottom I noticed you put a rub sign on the classics Ravage. Nice touch. Were you going to get Henkei Ravage one day? Regarding your TFC Autoscout cassette. What stickers did you apply to it? And finally, if you're looking for the BTS solar sensitive cassettes, I'm looking to sell mine cheap. (shameless plug ).
Hey, Thanks! On Henkei Ravage, had it in the Hound set and sold off, but didn't see a difference in the Classics or Henkei cassettes in person. I have 2 of all of my cassettes though, one loose to display and one in box or package. Cassettes are my #1 Transformers to collect as it all started for me with the cassettes about 12 years ago. I like the classics tape design, but why did they put the tail sticking out too thick ??? and on the Glit re-paint, why the gray tail ?? LOL Autoscount label I did custom on metal foil like I did my custom Stinger and Cobra cassettes. On BTS clear cassettes, never wanted those or the green and blue Yin & Yang set. Just felt more like a money grab and the molds are just ok, as you know. Thanks for the offer though. I used to try to get every different cassette, but now days I just want what I like. I found this is the best way to collect or you will get over your head and run out of room.
Yah the little tail prevents any cassette cover use. Henkei Ravage has darker legs. Who makes Stinger and Cohrada? Are they fat like those KFC cassettes?
They are made at Shapeways and Tomservo designed them. I bought them from Shapeways and put them together , painted, and made custom stickers and cards. I came up with names, as they are models and you can paint them however you like. They are like G1 size, not thick and will fit G1 Soundwave I think. Never tried, but is the same size as a tape like Buzzsaw/ Laserbeak etc.
