Do any of ye like the music in Animated? One particular badass piece is when Shockwave is walking into his office to contact Megatron in Where is Thy Sting.
Love that piece too. It seems like Shockwave's theme. I first remember it in Transwarped, when he was carry the Blurr cube
I LOVE the music when Longarm Prime is rolling up the Elite Guard HQ with a box of Blurr... it is just so fucking badass.
OMG no one ever mentions the music but that was one of the first things I noticed. When I first watched "Transform and Roll-Out" and it was when they were like "50 YEARS LATER" and there was this music in the background and I was like..."this is my jam!" To this day, I can't watch that part and not start to dance. I love the music! Though it seems that the music isn't getting featured as much anymore. Transwarped had like no good music which really bummed me out. Sebastian Evans II is the composer's name and I think he is relatively unknown. Which is a darn shame because I love what he has done in Animated.
Oh the More Than Meets The Eye battle arrangement rocks too. Y'know, the one in the first Transwarped fight.
Ya know, I totally forgot the Longarm theme! That actually was good too. I just miss the light-hearted background music from the first season...but with the way season three is playing out, I don't think that I am going to hear it for the rest of the series...unless they make a just...really silly episode.
Oh, so much so. The score is one of the aspects of this show that's always stood out for me, right from the pilot; it's varied, dynamic and incredibly accomplished, making great use of a wide range of styles and instrumentation. Epic orchestral swells, jazzy techno riffs, minimalist emotional underscore...it's all there, and it's all implemented expertly. Best of all, it's pretty much the only Transformers score I can think of that makes any effort to develop themes for characters and concepts, moreso even than the theatrical film; having become accustomed to TF shows serving up a "one-size-fits-all" repertoire of cues and fanfares, it's really nice to watch Animated and be able to instantly identify a rousing Elite Guard theme, a sinister Megatron theme, a rocky Shockwave theme, a powerful yet melancholy Omega Supreme theme or a sly electronic Headmaster theme. In other words, it's just a great piece of soundtrack writing, and I'd one I'd buy a CD release of in a snap if such a thing were ever on the cards. Congrats, Sebastian Evans!
one of the best tunes from a cartoon I've heard in a long time. I'm really impressed by the shows score, I hope they do release it as an album like dragon ball z did, would make quite a bit of money imo.
The music in Animated rocks. The entire show rocks. All the characters rock. All the designs rock... I could go on... maybe I will.
Indeed that is a rather badass score, though I thought it kind of fell apart toward the end of it. imo Like the composer had suddenly gone into a stroke or something. But yeah, overall the show has one of the more enjoyable soundtracks that I've heard in a cartoon recently.
yeah i love that music too, but listening to the wonderful music i have noticed it doesnt tend to even get to 2 minutes long most of the time so i dont know if we should hope for a soundtrack or not?
