So you want to sell the toys you got because you can't get more.

What?

Because the shelf is going to feel empty w/o the love for season 3, this is worse than what they did back to G1 with the Headmaster/targetmasters atleast we got all those figures.

It was going to feel empty anyway.

We knew that many Season 3 characters wouldn't get toys since the start, not to mention the lack of Scrapper/Mixmaster, all the clones and Omega Supreme.

Just be happy that you got all release figures and you completed your set.

After reading this thread, It just occurred to me that this may not be Hasbro's fault. In 2007, retailers wanted all things Movie-related after they saw how successful the first waves were.

What if it's the retailers who are causing Hasbro to cancel the Animated cartoon and toyline? For example, if they have "X" amount of space in their stores for TFs merchandise what if the retailers are the ones who want it all devoted to ROTF? What if they told hasbro that they're no longer going to support (i.e. buy.) the Animated line?

If that was the case, Hasbro had to make a decision. They can't continue a cartoon without a toyline and if retailers didn't want it anymore and instead wanted to devote all of their money and shelfspace to ROTF, this is what might have caused the premature death of TF: Animated.

If this is true and retailers no longer wanting Animated is what caused it's death then damn you Wal-mart and Target and any other massive retailer!!

I'd love to hear even a peep from Hasbro about this, especially after the news out of Toyfair about 10 days ago...

If the retailers think ROTF is going to make more money, which it will, then that's what they want. Simple.

I hope Arcee gets to see the light of day though.

That's the thing though. We were all pissed at hasbro for deciding to cancel the Animated toyline and it may be the retailers decision to embrace all things ROTF and not buy Animated toys that is forcing hasbro's hand.

Seriously, something... anything at this point needs to be said. The only hope we might have at this point for Arcee and E. Soundwave is that they become exclusives somewhere... man this is dissapointing. Add to that the fact that we probably won't see the other three seekers, Omega Supreme or Mix & Scrap... not to mention we knew from the get go that half the S3 guys were not going to get figures... crap this sucks bad.

True enough. Hasbro has been screwing with this line from the get go because of their precious movie franchise. Frankly, seeing what they've done to Animated... it makes it hard to get excited about whatever series might come after RotF because we know it's going to get canned as soon as the third movie rears it's sharded-metal-aliens head...
