| Mini-Con Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 14 | Should this Optimus become Supreme commander? I was thinking, does anyone else kind of hope this Optimus DOESN'T become Supreme commander? Don't get me wrong now, I'm just not sure, but I actually kind of prefer him as a field commander, and feel like his talents would be wasted on the Supreme commander job. | Devil Annoyance  Join Date: Jul 2002 Posts: 525 Location: The Omega Universe Collection Count: 300+  | only time i maybe see him getting that position is like the final episode they ever plan to make of animated. he is a more thrilling commander of a rag tag bunch of misfit space bridge repair bots then a leader of every military bot who deals more with strategy. then again i am also hoping there is more plans then 3 seasons of animated (i recall mention there was plans for 4 seasons) one can only hope.  |

| Dinobot  Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 834 | This is the only Optimus Prime that has interested me since g1. He has WAY more depth as a character in the position he is in now. It's the same Reason Optimus Primal was such a great character. There is room to grow. The character is not restricted to the same catch phrases from ep to ep.

And even then there should be some big reasons for him gaining the spot. Basically give him a situation where there are only two options: A. Become leader and save Autobot kind, or B. Don't take it and watch as Decepticons take over. I'm not sure that'll happen, but it would be interesting to see this Prime grow into the more mature leader we've known him as in pretty much every other continuity we've been given.  Quote:
