Megatron's not good with names.
Megatron: "Mixmaster, find Lugnut and Blitzwing! Scrapper, back me up!" [A Bridge Too Close - Part 2]

Next we know Mixmaster is duelling Egoscream, Prowl and Bumblebee and Scrapper goes off to find Lugnut and Blitzwing.


Just, you know, finding trivial errors for the sake of it

Maybe the Constructicons decided to swap missions. I doubt Scrapper would have been of much use in a fight with the clones - all he has is a melee weapon.
There may be no peace for the wicked, but the righteous can damn well get a piece whenever they feel like it.

I think that's what happened. And Scrapper, not wanting to be hurt by the battles, went to search for Blitzwing and Lugnut.

Yeah, it's not that Megatron isn't good with names, Mix and Scrap just don't follow orders well.

Could be, but Megatron didn't really think too well about those orders either did he? Mixmaster would clearly be the one he'd want to stay and help since he has a ranged weapon.

Oh, and one-size-fits-all stasis cuffs for Lugnut.

only real hint that Megatron isnt good with names really is when he tries to pronounce Bulkheads name. the situation your bringing up seems more of a case of two non-military robots vagely following orders.

To be fair, Mix & Scrap are the "new guys". Megatron may not have put in the time to know which guy is better in a specific kind of fight.
