The Swindle Thread

First I thought Swindle was pretty well handled in Animated, these are my thoughts about his character, add yours and whatever facts we can scrounge together.

1.) I don't think we've seen the last of him -because that would suck
2.) Everything about him is win...except for the voice... did it strike you is old sounding?
3.) Maybe some deals with Lockdown later on... That would make since.
4.) Yet another unafiliated Decepticon. S, BA, SS, SW, LD, OS
5.) Love to over homage, the eyes, head, large gun.
6.) He's got combat boots!

What do you guys think about him?

The watch effects are not permanent, so he's not out of the action.

I love his voice. Fred Willard nailed it with him. In G1 he sounded like an 80's cartoon car salesman. In Animated, he sounds like a modern cartoon car salesman.

Swindle's mature-sounding voice would only make sense. He appears to know Megatron from way back - this supports the notion that he's an older mech.

There may be no peace for the wicked, but the righteous can damn well get a piece whenever they feel like it.

He said he had dealings with the VOK, that would be astounding considering what we know of the VOK

I think I'm one of the few people that didn't like Swindle's voice and didn't think Fred Willard fit the character at all. Then again, I felt the same way about Weird Al's take on Wreck-Gar too, yet everyone seemed to love it, so I guess I'm a black sheep here.

Swindle and I have a long time relationship, I always get all toys named Swindle/G1 Swindle repaints and I have no freaking idea why, maybe I really like him alot but can't admit it, anyway, the Animated character is one of the best characters ever in my opinion and he made it to my TF Top 5 in only one episode, losing only to fellow TFA character Lugnut.

I can't wait til he starts selling Decepticon technology to Porter C Powell! C'mon, it's too obvious a route! They HAVE to take it! He also makes me eagerly await MORE former-combiners striking out on their own.
