No...no way...hell no. No indeed. Thanks for reviewing them. From the standpoint of just sitting on a shelf they look fantastic. As a collection of Tetra Seekers they are amazing. As Transformers they are a fu--ing trainwreck! I like to take them off the shelves once a week or so and transform them. Dust them off...pose em different. These things look a bit overcomplicated for my tastes. Again. Thanks for posting. Saved me a ton and now I can go and buy the Not Predaking set instead!

I asked IT on their FB page about that the other week and they said it was being considered.

The cockpit window was designed to be translucent. Not sure why they didn't do so for production. Otherwise, it would not of been designed to open up and show the details inside.

The only problem I have with this video is that I could almost tell that some one told Vangelous to throw these things around for however long he threw them around for to prove a point. I personally like neutrality in my reviews, and Vangelous did give an even opinion, but I don't see the use of chucking these things around for that long. I understand that IT has given us crap before, but if every review we see of these has people chucking them around, it will be kinda ridiculous. Just a memo to IT, we get it, we get it. The plastic is good, it won't break. Thanks.

Now on a separate note. I do love that Venskta had a say in this, and I gotta agree with him. These should have came out 2 or 3 years ago. The Alt mode looks great on these, but the bot mode looks dated as all hell for a classics figure. Having said, that, these should have been priced at $30 a pop for what they are. With $50, I can get so much more in the third party market now a days. So I am going to hold out for these to hit $30.

The main problem with IT, is that they are always like 3 steps behind all the other third party companies. At this point the game is beyond them. They need to know that at the prices they want for these things, you need to look the part, feel the part and not break. Just not breaking is not good enough anymore. People aren't paying $50 for something that looks dated.

Having said that, I would pay $100 for a 3 pack if those faces were fixed.

:peoples:  I kind of hope you don't know what "literally" means. I sure woulda added another Alicon to my collection in exchange for some kind of superior compensation than the monetary thrill of roadside littering :lol

All in all, I'm really looking forward to these Tetrajets, I hope they do a second run with more Rainmaker'y flavors, but I'll be happy with the coneheads and Sunstorm for now.

IT's stuff is certainly not without flaws, but they're the only ones (more or less) doing G1 Cartoon themed figures, which IMO outweighs the QC concerns.

Why does it matter? People buy older figures day in day out, including older oh-so-outdated Classics from over 5 years ago. Heck, people are still buying redecos of the original oh-so-outdated seeker mold... Plus, it's not meant to be a Classic, it's something of its own. Why do you guys absolutely always HAVE to fit 3rd party figures in a specific unrelated line?

    Like what?

That "stress-test" sequence was my idea going in. Nobody told me to bang the toys together for 5 or 6 minutes, I just thought it funny when I realized how long that sequence went on for, and left it all in.

Between the use of the word 'mushmouth', and Vangelus beating them with his fist, I have managed to meet my court mandated requirement of anger management therapy this week. Thanks Vangelus!

Seriously, I think IT should postpone the release and replace the heads despite the additional cost. Smaller, better molded heads would translate to more sales, possibly enough to cover the cost of replacement. Releasing the figures as-is would be a disaster.

Replace the head and, for what it's worth, I promise to buy at least one conehead.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'd buy with a different head but not without it. The potential for a possible new head doesn't interest me. New head or I pass.

This was EXACTLY what Impossible toys needed. And right before the early bird ended. Did someone on the team approach Vangelus?

I don't mind the bigness of the head (since I preordered Solarblast) but that face is a special kind of ugly. I do like that they opened up with so many versions at the same time. No rainmakers though. There's a trio I'd I'll look into.

I had originally decided to pass due to the heads. But after these reviews, I've decided to give Starscream a chance (hoping that I can replace the head though). That original head is hideous. Fix the heads and add clear cockpits and that would grant a full tetra seeker squadron purchase by me.

The review and this post have sold me on four out of seven of them (the original three plus my dawg Solarstorm); I may yet crack on one of the Coneheads.

The rainmakers would probably be an automatic sale.
