Thank you for this review. DX9 made a great Blitzwing- but I'm going to wait to see what FT cooks up. Maybe they'll make a better engineering choice on that head/cockpit.
Nice review thanks. He's huge in bot mode and nicely intimidating. The jet isn't very toon accurate or even real world accurate. Kind of somewhere in the middle. If there was no other alternative I could have accepted the bot and jet modes. But that tank mode is an abomination. And the more you look at it, the clearer it becomes that DX9 really phoned it in with the tank. Huge gaps in the back and front, no effort to cover the robot kibble underneath (while they actually did a good job cleaning up the jet and bot) the big yellow head hanging in the front, the obvious wings folding over. Gewalt is suffering from "first to the market" syndrome, just like Maketoys Inferno. Later efforts have seen their mistakes and improved upon them. I honestly think DX9 still had that excuse in their heads "one mode always suffers on a triple changer" and they used that to justify skimping on the tank. We were still seeing people trotting out this same excuse just a few weeks ago, right up until KFC and now Fans Toys proved that you actually can make a figure with three great modes.
