Just picked up this set and I was all excited to armour up my G2 Sideswipe. The packaging for this set is simple. The accessories came in a plastic baggie inside of a foam tray. First impression the plastic quality of the set does not feel like factory grade and feels more like a garage kit plastic resin. The set comes with quite a few things to clip on to the ammo belt. Refer to pictures to see what's included. It also comes with a clip for the bazooka and a clip for the sword that comes with the MP figure. The final product is slightly different in colour from the prototypes that was floating around. The belt is no longer a clear rubber and the gun magazine are not a royal blue. Final thoughts, its a great way to arm up your G2 Sideswipe but for the price I thought it could have been made better. Secondly it would have been nice to come with a simple instruction sheet but its not hard to figure out. But it a pain to put the accessories on the figure as the way the belts clip together is a pain in the ass. Took me close to 30 mins to assemble it. In the end I don't think this set is worth the price of $30 that many online sites are listing it at. I paid $20 for it and feel it would have been more satisfying at $12-15 range. Pro: A great way to finish off your G2 Comic style Sideswipe Con: No clear instructions how everything fits and the rubber belt is a pain to secure around Sideswipe.
Thanks for the review! Glad to see the belt isn't clear like the earlier pictures. Agreed it's not worth paying a lot for, but hopefully I'll find a good deal, cos I think this really finishes G2 Sideswipe off perfectly.
The colors look much nicer than the previous photos of this. I might have to consider this item after all.
Jigga do you think the ammo belt will damage the paint of the hood/chest at all? I'm concerned about scratches...
