Green Ghost is a toy made by Chinese toy company Meng Badi in 2013, makers of the many fine KO Transformers. This toy itself is NOT a KO as their usual products, but is part of their recent line of original designs that are heavily inspired by Transformer-type toys.

Green Ghost has been identified by most fans as being heavily Springer inspired. He comes with a number of accessories, including a rifle, sword which becomes his helicopter blade, two pistols which become wheels in car mode, a 2-piece stand, a collector card and instructions. There are also two other color variants of Green Ghost out there. One is brown and called Scorpion, and the other is black and called Cross Orcs.

He is about Voyager size, although very skinny as a robot.

I just got him in the mail, and will review him in depth tonight, but I'll start with these photos...

Looks kinda shitty, but if I could get one cheap enough it would be nice to have as an oddity.

    What do they cost?

They are made to sell in China to the kiddies there, so I'm sure to them it's cheap. Sadly it cost just over $20 to import it (heavy and costly to ship). So yes, it's more an fun oddity to collect. It's not as good a "Classic Springer" as either Warbot Defender or Generations Voyager Springer. Still, it's a better Springer than any that came out from Hasbro BEFORE Classics Voyager Springer.

I wish I could translate the bio, and he comes with tech specs. That plus the stand shows they really put some effort into old Green Ghosty here.

Still, I commend Meng Badi for making some original toys instead of their usual KOs with the names and faction symbols changed.

I plan to get some other original designs from the same company. They make a line of boats and construction vehicles too.

One thing that's easily lost on these of this toy is how big it truly is. It has a lanky appearance because of the long legs, but it's limbs are nearly as thick as Generations Voyager Springer. He's just an inch taller.

Another thing easily overlooked is his high level of articulation. He actually has 5 points of articulation in each arm and leg, including twice jointed elbows.

All the accessories are on a 4mm peg and hole system, whereas the stand has a 6mm peg that fits in the hole under his cockpit.

In robot mode he has holes in his fists, foreams and the sides of his legs.

Here is a picture with the shoulders transformed correctly and holding all his weapons:

In a weird way I kinda like that. Almost has a sort of retro vibe. Do his hips move forward at all?
Also, where can I get one?

I find it silly that people on some boards complain that this isn't ass good as Generations Voyager Springer or Warbot Defender. This is a low cost Chinese toy made for Chinese kids. It sells in Chinese shops for about $6. No, it's not going to be the greatest collector piece, but for a $6 kiddie toy, I think they did a great job. They managed to make what is, in my opinion, the third best representation of Classic Springer made to date.

Any of these stores that carry it are reliable:

Bot mode is a bit of a mess but alt modes (particularly the chopper) aren't too shabby. An oddity for sure.

    Nice figure.
I'd like to try getting it

    A couple questions.
Does the sword store under on the figure in vehicle mode?

Is there anywhere to clip the large rifle and sword if you don't want them in the hands?

And does anyone else think that with that 'dune buggy' looking alt mode, it could pass as a decent G1 Sandstorm with the right panint job?

There is a brown recolor out there called Scorpion. Might be easier to work from to make Sandstorm.

There are lots of them on Sir Toys and Aliexpress, but they are not usually called ALteration Man in the desription. Both Sir Toys and Aliexpress end to describe the toy rather than use its real name. So on Sirtoys you might just see a description as a Springer-Type robot, or a boat like robot, it won't say "Alteration Man".

    For instance, Alteration Man Savior...

DANCHEL Deformation robot remote control deformation toys deformation of bulldozer deformation car about toy,for new year-inAction & Toy Figures from Toys & Hobbies on Aliexpress.com

    Alteration Man Red Dragon:

    http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Meng...t-super-battleship-Red-Dragon/1505695526.html

Also some of the older Alteration Man toys are KOs of real TFs. So they would be listed as "KO of 2007 movie Arcee", not "Alteration Man Carrol".

Here is Alteration Man Corba, who is KO Binaltech Swipe.

    Ok.
I'm going to order this in a bit.
However for shipping reasons, can anyone give me an approximate weight of Green Ghost and Red Dragon?

    Thanks
