Got a package in today from MMC, it's a look at the Super Nova limited edition of Terminus Hexatron!



It's basically the grey prototype colored version, much like the Awakening release of Airborne Squad:



Speaking of Airborne Squad, here's a quick size comparison with Screecher and MP-10. He's not tiny!



You get a good bit in the box: Hexatron himself, two guns, two swords, six hubcap shruiken, a nice plastic bio card and the intruction manual/comic:



Here's a closer look at the bio card and comic. Lots of work went into making these, and they often get overlooked. The comic is great and the instruction booklet is laid out amazingly well to guide you between all of the modes. The art for the Bio card was done by our very own UNICRON-WMD!!!

There's nothing about a trigger in the instructions, but you can configure the Wolf head to kind of work as one.

All in all, he's a LOT of fun. Transformations are pretty intuitive once you get them down, there's plenty to explore for yourself, I'm sure there will be more fan modes found for him. He's nice, solid, and a just a great looking figure. The Limited Super Nova version will be available for sale in just a few days on MMC's facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mastermind-Creations/134216339973092?fref=ts) and the full color version will be following shortly. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend picking one up while you can!

I know I am a little biased being the artist who did the Hexatron on the bio-card. But I love this prototype stye on this figure. It is the most anticipated figure of 2013 for me. I just love the design and detail.

Also, in over a year with all the prototype pictures and videos, no one has ever noticed or mentioned that Hexatron has sandals. Very cool! I love this figure so much. Lol

 

Even not being involved in the production, I agree! Also, I wasn't trying to not credit you for the card art, I just wasn't sure how public that knowledge was.

 

The whole package looks bloody bang on. I have no display option for an Awakening style version (a shame, as I do love how the prototype grey makes every detail pop) but cannot wait for the main release.

My post was more about my love for the figure. Hexatron and the reformated line are why I sought out to do art for MMC. I am just excited about this new reformatted line.

 

The final art work looks great on the card man, make sure to have me get you to sign one at the next minicon after its released.

Yay, hubcap shruiken! I do wonder why they were being so secretive about them, though. Perhaps just to create mystery/hype.

Well damn, this version I actually want! I've never really liked all the lines MMC uses, especially on this guy, but for some reason they don't bother me on this all grey version.

Also, in regards to the loose gun pegholes in gun mode, there are two little screws right near that peghole. Tightening those significantly improved the hold there. I now have no looseness issues pegging the guns in there.

Peaugh---for boat mode you rotate those two wheels to be facing forward---are those hinges used for any official mode ? I don't recall you moving them in your video.

 

I flipped them up for clearance in Wingwolf mode. But they're mostly used for that boat/battlecruiser mode, which is a hidden, but intentional, alt mode.

 

Nice. Might have to shell out for this version too
