Got mine in today, and am blown away. This is a fantastic little TF. Joints are super tight like Rollbar's were. I was worried as the initial reviews said the joints were a bit looser this time around.

Just opened mine. Unbelievable. Smooth, simple yet engaging transformation. This is exactly what I wish mainline transformers were like.

Got my Aurora on Friday. I notice that you have the same broken piece on your leg that I have. Did you get yours from BBTS? I emailed them and they said that it is a widespread issue with their shipment. Not sure if I should exchange it or just return it and buy one elsewhere.

Mine arrived from BBTS yesterday and sadly he suffers the same fate as so many others with that piece missing on his leg. Other than that he's a fantastic figure and I can't wait for the next release........

Are you going to keep it or try exchanging it? It's not a huge issue and doesn't affect the transformation at all but if the figure wasn't $60+ I wouldn't be so anal about it being perfect.

Meh, it doesn't bother me enough to try exchanging it and possibly get yet another one with the same issue. I'll just consider it a war wound that he proudly displays after surviving his encounter with my upcoming Hexatron (Sixshot) and leave it at that.

Got mine today and while the joints are looser than Grind Rod's, I found them to be more perfect in tightness as my Grind Rod's joints are way too tight.

Mine doesn't have the leg issue though which I'm extremely grateful for as it would've bothered me to no end. Mine came from BBTS.

I'm just blown away at how Grind Rod and Aurora share a similar transformation yet they are completely different.

These guys have quickly become one of my favorites.

I exchanged mine as it wouldn't cost me anything to do so. If my 2nd one has the leg issue, I'll just live with it. My new one will ship out as soon as my return arrives at Bbts.

There is just something about his bot mode that screams 'autobot' to me - in a very nostalgic kind of way. Grind rod doesn't do the same for me so I think it has to do with the head sculpt and comlors

I got mine in yesterday from tfsource along with hardbone. The legs on my searchlight are fine. No holes/missing pieces.

Mine arrived today. First transformation was TERRIFYING... I was certain I was going to break something - especially the head. I'm still not entirely convinced I didn't bend the screw.

So, after I drank one 9.2% ABV beer (I had no idea it was that strong when I bought it!), I gathered the necessary balls needed to take a file to my brand new, $80-including-shipping figure. I filed down the corners where the head flips up, and the corners that crash into each other on the "toes." As I was transforming him, trying to get those parts into position, each popped off the balljoint. Since the piece on the lower leg that clashes actually becomes his heel, I opted to file down the toe (foot, if you prefer) piece. It didn't take much filing at all, and now he transforms beautifully.

OK, the tabs on his doors are a little overkill on how long they are.

Seriously, the only thing I don't like about this guy is the headsculpt, but I can't even complain much about that, because it's spot-on with his homaged G1 self.

Now, all that said, I do have one last thing I want to comment about - the joints and general feel of the moving parts. Aurora is my 3rd Toyworld figure - the firsts being Hegemon and Hardbone (lawl - insert dick joke here... oh wait, probably mentally done to death). Both are fantastic figures. While Hegemon's alt mode and transformation are not the greatest we've seen offered from a 3rd party, his bot mode is worth the price alone. However, I felt like his joints and sliding parts were on the loose side. While everything on that figure is certainly usable, it feels loose. Hardbone has the same issue; his joints will certainly hold poses, but there are parts of him (his forearms are an example) that feel loose when moving or sliding them. Aurora has NONE of this. In fact, some of his joints may feel TOO tight at first. Definitely keep an eye on the connection pieces - I rotated the legs at the thigh swivel 360 each - and the T-shaped peg on each leg now shows a stress mark. However, after having done that, each leg moves a little better.

So yeah... I'm gonna have to get Grind Rod now. And the rest of this line.
