I got mine from Chimungmung last week too. Supposedly their last one to haha. Congrats on dodging eBay and it's grossly inflated prices. Yeah I've never had a problem with them and their shipping is nice and quick. Not sure how they would be to deal with if something went wrong but so far so good. The figure itself is glorious. Fans Toys really outdid themselves. Can't wait for their Dinobots either. The feel of this figure is superior to official releases and I love it. Very happy.

LOL I've ordered one too and it was shipped on Friday. I wonder if mine is the real "last one"

Can't wait to get it; I've also ordered MMC Hexatron and Warbotron WB-01 coming together.

Just got mine (off eBay, paid the troll toll). FT-03 is about as good as could be expected. The color is very cartoon accurate. Personally I would have liked a slightly darker hue, but not a big deal. Excellent use of die cast. The backpack/silencer piece is not a great attachment in gun mode, again a minor issue. Just glad to have one!

You know I would love to see them do another release of this, but in the original dark purple of G1 Shockwave toy.

    Ebay:

Quakewave looks great, It would be my first 3rd party figure, but that color is not right.

Well, we shall see if they make him darker.

Don't hold your breath. Also unless you want to spend loads on him, you missed your chance.

Yeah, I'd like this as well. There is demand for this item so it makes little sense to not do a 2nd run. I couldn't care less about those who cry because it lowers the overinflated value of the 1st release. Those secondary market prices have NO benefit to the original seller, only releasing another run helps them out.

There were already 3 runs done. FT is a bit busy trying to get more Dinobots out the door, I doubt they care much about revisiting Quakewave a 4th time. Give it a few years and maybe they will do another release.

Well I broke down and ordered the gray exclusive from Toy Dojo today. From the pictures and reviews I really like the gray that they used for it. Plus there is the nostalgia factor to the Astro Magnum colors as it was the first version of Shockwave that I had as a kid.

I picked up the gray version a couple weeks ago. I liked it so much I sold my regular purple version of Quakewave. As soon as I got it in hand ther was no question this would be my shockwave, I too had the gray version as a kid. I picked up a resin display stand off eBay to go with him, I recommend it if you can find one.

How dark would you say the gray is? It looks almost black in a lot of pictures. I am considering picking one up to go with my Black Masterpiece display.

With the re-releases/repaints imminent, I don't suppose any of you guys with original run figures would care to tell us how Quakewave has held up, and take some pics with current figures like CW Leader Megs? Pretty please?

This figure does look pretty good. That said I don't like how you need to pull the legs out pretty hard during transformation. I have bad feeling this going to create a lot of wear and tear over time, and become looser.

Would like to hear more input in this figure.

Depends on how much you transform it, I suppose. That said, my brother has the reissue Quakewave, and the only issue it's developed is that the hose likes to pop out of the panel on his back. The sliding mechanism hasn't actually loosened up that much, it just no longer requires so much force to get the legs down. He's had it a year and has fiddled with it a fair bit.

I think it would probably be fine. FansToys generally has pretty good build quality, with a few exceptions (Willis's ankles, Lupus's cockpit slider, Forager's sliding bits and chrome rings). Quakewave is solid, though.

That ease my mind a bit. I just ordered him from BBTS for $109 bucks (good price I think?). I hope I'm not going to be disappointed *keeps fingers crosses*
