Where can we (pre-)order this? I know it's going for around $100 last I heard.

awsome review! Im extremely impressed with the design. i didnt think that a company would put this much effort into such a weak figure(i personly love the figure but it does have its flaws) love seeing the trailer as a jet pack. hopefully i be able to afford this down the road some time

Looks fantastic. I'm shocked there's no pre-orders for this yet though. Especially when certain other products have been up for pre-order for over a year before we see a physical proto *coughWSTastrotraincough*

But yes, can't wait to get this.

Captured Prey has it for pre-order (currently suspended), $120 shipped to NJ. Otherwise, you can buy it now from Upgrade Commander for around $140 shipped.

    Want a Scourge version please.

Not crazy about the fact that you have to boil the head to soften the plastic to make it fit. That's just weird.

It looks great. I love your thoughts on the Crystal City bots and such :)  that helped in making me want this more.

The Drift swords look damn good, speaking of.

I like it, but I want to wait... so much 3rd party goodness I need to spread stuff out.

Great review. Seems to cover everything. I'll be getting it from TFSource as soon as I have money (they take checks -- & Curt has E-mailed me, when I asked, saying that they do plan on carrying it; they're in Negotiations.) & will get one of Giant's Box Sets (color probably depends on which one is out when I have money).

Really nice that MakeToys appears to have FansProject quality. That's one concern alleviated.

I posted the pic w/ Drift & Optimus here (including it being a link), as it's the best indicator of how much height he actually gains! Taller than I was hoping for.

& your English isn't that bad.

Unless I'm mistaken this may be easier than the head replacement on the Headrobots Blood/Bludgeon kit.

I have to do the water bath all the time for DC Universe Classics figures all the time and I'm not even customizing them. Mattel figures can be really bad for this with joints too tight.

All boiling it does is take advantage of matter's tendancy to expand a bit when heated, & contract when it cools. If you'll notice, RtS Op's head is screwed together; it isn't a solid piece. Boiling MT's for 30 secs is easier than unscrewing it.

You don't HAVE to boil it. I didn't. And I installed the head just fine. it was HARD though, but I didn't damage anything. Just be careful with how much force you put on it.

I didn't have much of a problem with the Blood kit. It was just a funky angel to get the screw driver in

You can actually push Bludgeon's head above his shoulders if you disengage the hips and keep pushing up on his spine.

Coulda sworn I had a photo to illustrate this somewhere...

Meh....they already portray Prime with too much power. To add this would be Uber overkill.
