Come on, this isn't really a fair review, it's just gushing over an expensive purchase.

Give us the dirt -- what's honestly bad about it? What could be improved? What are the weak points? How is the plastic, paint, and joint quality?

Also, can you measure that little blank square on the side, and tell us exactly how big it is?

 

So once you clip the chrome weapons off the tree, there is no way to remount them, or am I missing something?

 

if you look at all the weapons they have small holes in them that they can remount inside the trailer, very nice, can't wait for mine

 

i truely can't decide if i want to get this.....ugh i am finally getting my money this week and i have been spending weeks deciding what the hell to buy, that city commander preorder on BBTS ain't helping things either

 

^The City Commander is in a way pretty much a whole new figure (privided you have classics UM) I'd go with that

 

yea, i don't got ultra magnus yet, but i remember literally drooling over my computer when it was first revealed long ago. always wanted one but this is the first time i can afford one. i got classics prime i can use to just try it out and then save it for later......ugh but i want to also make my g1 collection bigger, too much plastic crack to get

 

This is such an epic win. Sure it's almost as much as City Commander, but it's significantly larger and has oodles of gear and accessories.

AND the designed the box so you can display it with Prime/Convoy inside? Genius!!!

 

How does it look w/ ROTF-Leader Prime?

it would be way too small for it, seeing as it is designed for the voyager classics prime mold, which is a really tiny truck, and ROTF leader prime is a huge truck.....

i have the both of them, voyager classics prime is not that short in vehicle mode. obviously not as long as the leader class, but seeing how tall the trailer is i was just wondering if it could be pulled off, even w/ a little work.

 

Not even close. It'll be narrower, and it won't sit right because Leader Prime's rear wheelbase is taller.

An MP Prime-scaled trailer would be closer. Don't know if that would work, though.

 

Gonna finally be ordering this in the morning. Saw it at Cybcon, and it is impressive. My two main gripes, are that the weapons are chromed (personal preferance), and that the stealth mode does nothing for me. I can understand them doing it, but if I could have gotten one without mirrors for $20 less, I would have been much happier. Still an impressive piece to view.

 

Why are the Mirrors so dull and dirty looking , are they real mirrors with a protective coating over them or just some silver stickers ? I know they make mirror stickers that are just as reflective as a real mirror because my highschool GF had them in her lockers and i had one in mine.. It was a normal peel and stick sticker mirror that looked just as good as a glass one. They could have used that if they really wanted to go for a stealth look.

Dunno it's kinda cool but it don't have alot going on, its pretty much an updated G1 prime trailer, just as empty and kinda boring. Glad i didnt order one, it's really not that impressive at all for the price they put on it..

 

Yeah, stealth mode is pretty lame. I don't want an $80 trailer that "hides." They could have saved on whatever it took to do that and made more weapons to include in the set.

 

It has a protective film over the surface in order to prevent scratching. If you see the instruction images, it shows that they should be peeled away for stealth mode.

 

From looking at the pictures of the instruction, it looks like they put some type of adhesive strip on top of the mirrors for packaging purpose, which can be taken off.

I'd order it if the weapons looked like they belonged with classics instead of Henkei. All the chrome would be seriously strange looking amongst the rest of my classics.
