    Warbotron (Combined mode) pt1
Just like a kid waking up on b-day and your parents drop the biggest toy you've been eye balling for months. Yup that's how I felt when fierce attack arrived on my door step everyone. Now with the happy introduction is out of the way let us get to the review.
    Bad:
I am going to start with inspection and combine mode pt1 first.
    • Ankle tilts: Right of the bat I tested the ankle tilts and rockers first. Unfortunately on the first high pitch squeak it snapped clean. Furthermore I find it 'very' odd Warbotron will have ankle tilts in the inside instead of the outside.
    • Replaceable plastic: In the bag there's two extra translucent thin pieces of plastic, just in case one of them or both break (complete eye roller).
    • Investigating: To replace the plastic piece for the ankle tilt. I find out the screws were screwed in way too tight. This nothing more than human neglect here. When you have a thin piece of anything never, ever screw in the screw too tight. This is why the plastic broke so easily
Lack of grease, oil and stress on plastic
This was running 'neglect' reel people. This goads me to do full inspection, to get this out of my system I did more inspection than playing with him.
    • Lack of grease and Oil: A god ninety five percent of fierce attack is not greased properly. The upper bicep swivel I had grease down immediately. His knee joint slightly too stiff to move had to grease that down too. In addition the connector pegs and ports on heavy noisy and sly strike needed some lube too. As for the insides of the feet, hell yes the dry plastic made me sick to my stomach. Another 'major' issue is the freaking shoulders. At this time I am like 'goddamn' did occur to anyone on the Warbotron team to be like...'Hey alot is riding on this figure, we might as well go all out on the oil and greasing down important parts. On that note I can't find a way to disassemble the shoulders to give them proper oil treatment.
    • Stress on Plastic: This is the stigma about Warbotron stress on plastic is scary areas. After handling Warbotron (treatment wise) I kept finding stress on plastic on the figure. Can anyone tell me what is up with Warbotron and stress on plastic. No offense to the company, but I must say this. Warbotron has had two full years to make fierce attack the perfect error free combiner ever. From inspection and attention to detail on my Warbotron fierce attack, it looks like he was rushed. The wrongness I see in the shoulders that makes Warbotrons' massive upper body. Hypothetically I believe more time should have been spent on making it impossible plastic to break no stress marks and add long life expectancy of the figures internal mechanics. Dreadful reality, if replacement parts for Warbotron do not include extra shoulder pieces expect to buy another fierce attack in the future. To be clear I am one of the collectors that displays betwixt mess around with my collection for time to time. I don't want to have, any day now I am going to have to buy another figure looming over my head.

    Connector pen gave out:
The connector pen on the left leg gave out on me when I was transforming and combining Warbotron over and over again to break in the plastic. I contacted BBTS and told them about this issue. Fortunately replacement parts are coming in 2 to the weeks. My issues is the pen that needs to be replace, also informed BBTS the following
    • Shoulder issue: Will I get replacement parts for them? Cause I don't want to spend another 124 for another fierce attack.
Good news is everyone should get one. But I have no idea what's going to be in the box or bag it comes in.
    Good:
There's a lot of good about Warbotron in my first combine mode review. Despite the snapped pen in the left connector it does not hinder Warbotrons' over qualified stability to hold poses! Furthermore he's one monolithic, detailed and proportionate. Also the furniture grip that comes with fierce attack for Warbos feet adds to his outstanding stability on any surface. If I were you I would put them on his feet to be absolute on him standing on your desk or display case. When I combined him for the first time, he held an acquired pose and get this, He didn't move at all!
    Posing:
In a nut shell Warbotron is one huge action figure combiner. He's more stable than feral rex and Prometheus. When I took pictures of him earlier, me handling him was almost next to nothing. Quick clarification get his feet down on something Warbotron is not going anywhere period! Unfortunately no dynamic pictures for Warbotron now, but I am still researching poses for him to pull off.

    Scale of 1-10:
Getting this out the way, besides people want to know how he scales against my other combiners I have reviewed on the boards so far. I am giving Warbotron an honest 9.5, he's far from a ten. I have already mentioned the issues already. However Warbotron has it where it counts also still holding together despite a snapped pen in his leg. More so the detail on the figure is truly homage to Bruticus. Warbotron confirmation owning up their neglect, I can forgive them this time around. If anyone on the Warbotron staff reading this review, I am being honest, not ripping on you just telling the truth.

That review sure didn't sound like a 9.5 with all those problems? sounds more like a 4 out of 10

If it was a 4 out of ten it would be still at the store

Noticed how i fixed some of the issues already. 2nd a replacement kit is coming my way soon. 3rd despite the problem with left connector pen, this motherfucker still holds his weigh, standing or posing. That's major redemption points with me, in clear terms not a total disaster like mc hammers career.

Warbotron Bruticus has good things going for it...Not perfect though unfortunately.

Thanks for the review. You said 9.5 which is actually very close to a 10.

I've had nothing but problems with large and heavy combiners sadly and joints giving way or the like has been common. I'm glad you're getting replacements.

The combined figure look great but doesn't look like Bruticus but I guess that comes from trying not to get too obvious.

    Thanks again.

He's ranking it based on the Richter scale.

Wait.....am I reading this wrong or is there a crucial joint like an ankle pivot made of translucent plastic? Because that sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I ain't no expert on toy design, but I know enough to know that load bearing joints that are subject to a certain amount of stress should not be made of translucent plastic since it's so much more brittle than opaque plastic.

Glad you liked the review. When it comes to large combiners, hypothesis is all companies are still trying figure out how strong the joints should be. Also these engineers are constantly working against a clock. Warbotron is almost there, but the issues are minor. I hope they learn from this when they finish not computron

You're not reading it wrong and you're not blind either!

Look at the translucent plastic I took. Like I said in the review it 'snapped' first time I moved it.
I don't know if you have fierce attack yet. If you do not here's some advice. Open the box and let fierce attack and all the accesseries cool for about 2 to 3 hours. After trouble shoot the feet. Loosen up the screw first. What I did, I didn't tighten it all the way. However you must test it and tighten it and go by the sound it makes. I hope this helps, I talked to some custom guys about this and their going to do something about it. I am not mad because TFC Uranos gave me more hell than Warbotron lol.

    On the Richter scale.
On the " oh shit scale."
On the "wtf is that scale." He scaled higher than rex when my friends saw him. Also they were afraid to touch him too.

Warbotron is a work out no lie about that.

    Warbotron( informal_review) combine_mode pt2

Unfortunately fellow collectors I am limited on showing photos of Warbotron combined. I already sent him back to be replaced. Yup you're not seeing things, I have to have fierce attack replaced. Here's the skinny about having him replaced.
BBTS contacted me yesterday and they cannot guarantee Warbotron will be sending pens, and shoulder replacements I need to fix it on my own
However, They wanted fierce attack and trailer but I get to keep the accessories. Now that was 'really' nice of BBTS to do this for me.

BBTS had to convince me because I started get really attached to Warbotron. He held so many poses, despite the issues in his squeaky shoulders and messed up connector peg in the left leg. This toy should strength and spirit and I really dig that about Warbotron.

    Photos:
Pay close attention the 'Whoa' pose Warbotron held a real life human whoa pose with his big ass gun! I set him up positioned his feet and:bay
Warbotron held it, leaning back and putting weight on the left leg that has the depleted pen. Like I said before Warbotron is a over grown action figure. Also this reinforces my rating to give Warbotron a hard 9.5 on a scale of one to 10. Because of this very reason outstanding stability and strong joints made up for the nonfunctional pen in the left leg.

This concludes the combine mode when I get fierce attack back I will do a team review and compare not so combaticons to other combiner teams I own

    Team pictures 1

    Got fierce attack back:)
Unfortunately Warbotron forgot to make pegs for his chest to lock in for bot mode. However it does not hinder his transformation. When I put them together for the first time. I had step back and look at them together for a minute or two. This is what I had in mind when I was kid viewing the combaticons together and standing with their creator. This is just team shot 1. Will be posting more pictures later.
If you want to pick up Warbotron not so bruticus set. I highly suggest you do, its money well spent.

    Enjoy the pictures.

Nice shots. I agree this is a great piece to have and I'm glad I didn't pass on this. Here's a few pics of mine I took when I got him.

    Nice!

You forgot to rotate this left side up my friend. I tilted my head to the side to get a good look at it...I call it the imposing shot.

I was going to pass on this when I saw the test shots 2 years back. I was afraid each figure would be 114 a piece. But when I saw they were going for 88 to 90 bucks I jumped in with both feet.

    Warbotron towers over everyone

Warbotron towers over every combiner I own. Have yet to do actions shots with him fighting Uranos and Prometheus.

I'm just about to combine him. Checking all the online reviews for issues first, so I don't snap him. I've already got one QC issue with Onslaught... he's missing his hip panels. Tsk.

BTW, in terms of the squeaking and applying grease, what sort would you use? It's not something I've ever had to do to a toy before...

And does anyone have a breakdown of what weapons go with who on the bonus Shockwave + big gun kit, or is it a free for all?

    Sorry for the 'late' reply

Grease: Use model car grease that's plastic friendly. Meaning that it does not deteriorate the plastic.

    As for the x-ray kit:
I would make it up on who gets what weapon

Doesn't look like Bruticus? How so?

Let's see. Tank as leg, jeep as leg, shuttle as arm, helicopter as arm. Huge grey chestplate. Big ass back cannons.

Yup I could see how you'd be confused and see Menasor instead of Bruticus, he clearly has none of the Bruticus design references.

    Looks like Bruticus to me

    Did you do this yourself!?
It looks like mean ass Bruticus to me.
