Ok you talked me into it. Well, that and a couple rum and cokes. Just ordered. No idea how long it takes to get in. Ebay said about a month but I hope it's sooner.

 

Got mine last weekend - forgot to mention that the flames seem darker on mine, maybe a slight running change, or the flash in the posted pics showed it as brighter than it is...

Gotta say, I love it, but wouldn't have minded if he was a little bigger. Got OS KO DOTM Megatron in the same shipment, it's tiny by comparison!

 

Saw the Wei Jiang Hound at the wholesalers over the weekend.

I think they're doing a running change to the mold. The version I spotted has a cigar in his mouth.

 

You serious? Too bad I just recently picked him up. That's like icing on the cake.

 

Wasn't able to take a picture due to the shop staff, but it's got one sticking out of its mouth.

I'll see if I can find a picture online with the updated head. If I make it back to the wholesalers and the toy's still in stock, will take a photo for posting.

There was a poster or two asking whether the cigar was a custom job; supposedly a Wei Jiang VIP edition [威将的vip限定版].



All I can find online, for now. Maybe the Chinese forums like ACToys have more info on this update.

 

Dang. Any one want a customized Oversized Hound, so I can go get that one?  

 

I just got mine yesterday. He's pretty cool. I'd love it if Wei Jiang gave DOTM megatron the same treatment.

Edit: The flames on mine are very subtle - hardly noticeable, in fact.

I do notice some similarities to the aforementioned Leader Sentinel Prime. Hound is much simpler, but still has the same issue with the rear of the alt mode. It's hard to get everything just right with no gaps.

I wish they make a leader blackout/grindor and leader bone crusher in the same fashion. Oh and a leader dotm Megatron.

 

Yeah that came up a little after I bought mine. They have a blue repaint too - I'm thinking of getting one and stickering him up as a decepticon.

I'm keeping an eye on this company with the intent of buying at least one of every mold they make. Any word on their Evasion OP?

The seller on ebay said that some will and some will not come with the Cigar. Upon closer inspection it looks like they just glue the cigar into the mouth because I can see glue residue around the base of the cigar.

It's probably a running change but sellers on ebay are sending them out randomly since it's packaged in vehicle mode and they probably don't want to check.

Mine came today with the cigar for 32.98 shipped. Elbows a bit loose but guns plug into him much better than the Hasbro in both robot and vehicle mode. His thumbs seem to get stress marks from holding weapons especially the thick knife handle. The large combined gun holds better than on my Hasbro.

I have the premium Hasbro version from the 5 pack so not sure how that compares to the regular retail but this leader with size and diecast also stands much better. The Hasbro has loose hips and falls over if not posed straight.

I really wish the same company could give us a leader Blackout and leader Bonecrusher from Transformers the movie 1.

As far as QC- I've got the Takara Hound with the light green camo paint from the bluray- my Hound is superior in every way to my OS KO Hound- (so I'm not experiencing the problems your Hasbro hound has apparently) but despite this my OS KO Hound is pretty fantastic and much better than I'd expected from a KO. His arm is just lose enough he can't raise his big gun and that's my biggest complaint.

 

Anybody bought the oversized blue hound from Sirtoys yet? Is it good quality?

 

I'm sure its the same quality as the green one. My green guy has loose left elbows, and thats it. Other than that he is perfect

 

Love this thing! I feel he may be a tad too big, but it'd nothing bad and far better than the regular Voyager.
