Yes, Sorry for the confusion - I forgot the quote. I was talking about just the cost of shipping being ~$13.
I ordered mine from eBay, was 42 free shipping. I know they added that cost in but it was still cheaper so I went that route.
Yeah, I had to do major work on the little pegs to fit them under-slung or on his back. Oh, good point. I might have to try that. NP. This is absolutely the gem of the entire AoE line.
Here you go guys. They've got a couple left. Weijiang Heroic Sprit TF Movie 4 Autobot Hound Loose Set | eBay
Got this guy today, he's awesome! Doesn't even seem like a KO, way better than the official version. I just wish we could get more of these guys. Upscaled, added diecast, better paint.
I'm sorely tempted on this. Ive been planning on getting voyager hound but this looks better. Just hope they still have it when I get some money together.
I've honestly never even bothered to transform the official hound cuz it's alt mode is dinky as hell. Nice to have this have a bit bigger alt mode, even with the weird ghost flames on the back.
Those flames should be easy to remove as long as the green is molded plastic and not painted. A little rubbing alcohol and you are good.
I haven't modded mine yet, but this is the general idea: What he's talking about are the pegs at the top/back of the shotguns that allow them to store under the arms or on his back. Not sure if this is a product of the die-cast/re mold, or if the original was like this, but the holes on the back are a bit smaller than the ones under the arms. As a result, the pegs on the shotguns are too large, and won't fit by default. On mine, they do peg in under the arms, though, so I think I'll file down just one side. That way each shotgun can peg in on the back or under the arms without issues. Hopefully that clears things up. If not, I'll try to take a couple of pics when I do the mods. I went a bit crazy with this guy and got the Dr Wu upgrade. The pics online of the kit on this OS KO are a bit deceptive. The shoulder straps won't reach all the way over his shoulders and attach to the belt, but friction will hold them in if you put them between the arms and the cab when you close up the shoulders for robot mode. The belt will go all the way around his waist, but it has to stay fairly loose to get the right curvature of his belly. A friend of mine is going to hook me up with a set of dog tags, and once I find some way to stick a bullet in his gob, he'll be complete! (I still can't believe the quality on this guy. I'm starting to think we have it backwards. The HasTak version might be an Undersized KO of this guy!)
Yes, that was exactly the issue. You just shave some plastic off the nubs, and it works fine. Thanks for this info. That saves me some money. Completely agreed.
