Looking good! Glad to hear Apollyon has bicep swivels, after all (they just require the arms to be fully extended). Bot mode is the real winner. Gun alt mode is pretty decent despite not quite being 100% accurate to a Walther P38's proportions but it's a small price to pay for a stellar bot mode. I'm sure with all the add-ons (barrel extension and shoulder stock) the odd proportions of gun mode will be made less apparent anyway. Thanks for the review and really looking forward to Apollyon's release!

Wow... then if the gun mode stays together well this will be one of the best $150 I've spent in a while.

My only question, slayback, is can apollyon swing the back barrel under his canon arm at waist level like the g1 toy, for those partial to that look?

The helmet comes from the second season episode called "a prime problem" where Meg's makes a clone of Optimus, the helmet controls the clone.

No it cannot - it sorta swings there but it comes in at a wrong angle. had there been another joint there it would have been able.

Seriously? He takes the time to post a review and you complain about having to click on a link? :/

If this is decent quality, then I fully agree with you. A cheap price compared to a lot of other third party figures.

Looks great, the alt mode is as accurate to the original item as any other large main line MP transformer. All the official ones have liberties taken, this one is not any farther off ;)

Uploaded photos. It's unfortunate that i cannot get the bicep swivel on mine to work. Really is tight and I've already put my test-shot through the ringer. I really don't want to put more undue stress on it. Sorry.

    A couple of notes :

    ** Added
Something is quite right with my stock and extension. It does not sit in the combined form (large cannon) like the G1 version. I don’t see a method of removing the scope from the gun, so you’re not going to get the same large gun that Apollyon can use. Also there is a low angle of movement for this cannon piece. I’m hoping they will have corrected this but not sure.

*** Expected shipping date is late January 2015.

Thanks everyone for your support. much appreciated.

So now we know roughly when it comes out. Also hoping the biceps don't end up too tight as you say. Might still have to wait for a more final production sample before committing.
Still; thanks a bunch for the first impressions.

Amazing job. Thank you very much! That he can two-handed Fire his cannon is all I needed to see. Looks awesome and is the pose I'll be displaying him in when I get him next month.

Slayback, the one thing I'm concerned about is the gun barrel on Apollyon's back. Does it lock into place, or at least feel like it will hold solidly in position?

The pictures I've seen indicate its made of metal & one I've seen had it hanging down, looking a bit floppy.

    Could you relay more info?

Re-read the review... The test figure HAS bicep swivel, slayback failed to extend the arm all the way, and didn't want to damage xtb prototype anymore than he already did with the leg panel. Look at the inner arm pics. You can see they are only 1/2 way clicked into place, and you can see the swivel.

Thanks & edited my earlier post so it only asks about the back gun part, since on my phone it's difficult to edit anything else.

KevinSig - The metal barrel does not have a clip on my figure to hold it in place. I might be missing something there to lock it in -but i dont see one. That being said - I know there have been changes made to the torso and upper chest area. -They may have modded this area. i'll see if i can get more info.
