I considered getting them, but I wanna hold out for a more classic version someday.

 

The only symbols anyone should be using.

 

I'll be using a clear background symbol on him; I'm enjoying them far more on 3P figures like Scoria, Sever, Tesla, Carry, Wardog etc than white backed.

I just got Spartan today. The build quality is exactly what I expect from MMC and it has impressive heft that I was not expecting.

He fills out his box which combined with the weight reminded me fondly of Warbot Assaulter.

If you can afford it, buy him. If not (like me) sell some stuff so you can!  

 

That is epic! Man you have to do a wreckers photo when you get Impactor.

There's been so many good releases this year, that I've changed my mind on which has been my favorite more times than I remember.

With this release, I changed my mind again.

Spartan is superb. Such a well sculpted solid product. Super sturdy plastic. I love the aesthetic, the weapon choices, the headsculpt and the vehicle. I'm super into the transformation as well, it's very intuitive and a joy to transform back and forth.

Very few complaints. I do wish there were rolling wheels. It may be childish, but I will admit that it drives me nuts when I cant roll a vehicle around. Especially when its such a cute little tank of death. My other complaint is the limited knee articulation, but it doesn't hamper my enjoyment.

Overall, its my favorite purchase so far this year, followed closely by Carry and Cupola.

I was on the fence about getting the Turmoil version, but now I'll be buying it as well.

 

After watching Peaugh's review I have a question. It looked like there was room in the chest for the gun to be fliped/rotated into. Is that possible without removing it? I was kinda ignoring this mould for a while because it looked like the cannon parts-formed, but I'd be happy to get it if that isn't necessary.

 

You have to remove the cannon to place it into a different connector for tank mode.

 

Don't normally collect non masterpiece but this looks so bloody good in bot mode I think I need it in my life

 

I'm in the same boat. I got Leonidas for the same reasons. I'll probably pull the trigger on this guy come pay day.

 

They probably could have made it so that the cannon didn't parts-form, but the mold is also meant to pull double-duty as Turmoil, where the cannon becomes a hand-held weapon, so they didn't.
