With what seems to be the next trend within the 3rd party companies, many old 3rd party toys seem to be available a second time around either as a scaled up or scaled down version of it's predecessor.

Toys like TFC's Herc are now being downsized to nearly half it's original size while others like Toyworld's Throttlebots are getting the MP treatment and getting a slightly larger release.

Many here are complaining about the selection of toys being scaled while fan favorites don't get any love at all.

Which previous 3rd party toy would you like to see upscaled or downsized?

Who knows? Maybe if enough ask for it, it might happen! Some 3rd party toy companies actually like to listen to their customers and follow their ideas.

I for one would like to see a 200% bigger Utopia from Make Toys. I would also like to see an MP sized release of both Giant and Intimidator. I was never happy with the small deluxe scale they used. Especially when companies like MMC used Voyagers for their combiners.

 

Honestly, I'd like to see a Masterpiece Megatron scaled to MP10. I know Igear had horror monarch a while back, but that never got released and was still too small. Hegemon looks nice, but definitely doesn't fit the masterpiece aesthetic.

 

An up scaled Hegemon to serve as a MP substitute would be awesome!! Someone scale that guy to MP-10 size please!

 

Hegemon up scaled to a hair bigger than MP-10 is the obvious choice, why no one is doing this, is beyond me.

Mostly because I don't think Hegemon quite fits the aesthetics of the rebooted Masterpiece line. Hegemon sits nicely as a Classics Megatron, but not MP quality, as much as I like the mold. Too many things are off about it like the shape of the shins (lacks his signature curvature), the shoulders, the hands, the hollow forearms, the head sculpt, the gun alt mode doesn't really resemble a real P38, etc. Horror Monarch would have come close but was never released (supposedly due to engineering issues and how fragile such a down-scaled figure would be; MP-05 is already pretty fragile at its giant size point).

I'd buy an MP10 sized Mania King.

Honestly, if they upsized and drastically improved the QC of war Lord, I'd see that as an ideal candidate for MP scale because of its slavish accuracy

I'd like to see the FT or giga MP dinos downsized to match mp8.

As much as I like the FP headmasters, I wish they were bigger so they could hang out on the MP shelf.

Up-scaled Hegemon to TW Orion size or a little bit bigger.
I'd rather have a proper MP Megatron (Official or 3P) for my MPs.

Alternatively a down-sized Hegemon to go with classic seekers.

But yeah, this is the only figure I'm worried about seeing resized.

Unless someone wants to make their Constructicon Team stand eye-to-eye with MP-10.

 

I get the impression that it is so easy for these KO guys to up and down size these things, we should have a range of Hegemon sizes.

I would be happy with an MP scaled Hegemon. That way, if Takara lays an egg with the rumored new version, I could at least be happy with an upscaled Hegemon, the legs don't bother me none.

As it is, I'll keep Biii from Toyworld for the alt mode of Bumblebee, even though I'm getting MP Bumblebee. Same difference between a MP sized Hegemon and any new MP Megatron Takara pumps out.
