Does the gestalt have a name? Throttlebotamus? Throttlor?

God, if they release this in black, that'll be epic.

 

Toyworld never revealed a name for the combined form of the Throttlebots or Dinobots. They called the Constructicons combiner "Constructor". So I guess we could call the others Throttlor and Dinor, or just make something up.

Wei Jiang has done even less, not ever naming their individual figures! They are simply called the "Adjusting Car Series" on their web site. Most packages have no individual naming, one of their package variants has number 1, 2 and 3 on them. So I guess it's just Adjusting Car 1 (Rollbar), Adjusting Car 2 (Chase) and Adjusting Car 3 (Searchlight).

Okay, I checked out the Chinese language version of their web site, and the titles given for the figures translate to

Grind Rod is called "Wrangler" (G1 Rollbar was a Wrangler, even though Grind Rod is a Sahara!)
Trace is called "Lamborghini" (G1 Chase and Trace are both different red Lamborghinis)
Aurora is called "Aurora" (just like the Toyworld name).

 

The most adopted name seemed to have been "Throttle Kaiser 7" with "Pileup" as a secondary choice.

If they really do this the end result will really be a monster. Here's a picture I took of the original along with a bunch of other big bots and he's already one of the largest that isn't supposed to be a city.



Did they say if this was going to be a gift set or if they're just releasing the other 3 with the parts that Toyworld originally packaged with them? In other words is it time to hunt down the first 3 or wait until the giftset shows up and get all 6? And any word on the awesome golden gun?

I really love this guy and Wei Jiang's work on upsizing bots has been exemplary thus far. I have their MP-10 and Evasion Primes and they're both works of art. I also picked up their upsized warrior Bumblebee, Strongarm and Drift. The upsized Drift has become a favorite overall for me, its as big and bulky as Combiner Wars Voyager Prime but has a heft and polish that really shames the original Hasbro figure.

 

They should have made this set 10% smaller... stupid stupid china. I dont mind getting the middle bot since his size is correct to his vehicle mode at least.. maybe

Price? Strolled through 5 pages and no $$$. And who doesn't want a bigger "throttle" wink wink. Lol

 

There is no price on Shinebug yet. You can pick up the first three they release for $60 total shipped on ebay. They are 7 inches tall, which is about Voyager size. The original toys were about 5.5 inches tall, which makes these about 125% original size and a quarter the price.

You'd have to shop around. All the places that carry them I know of currently have the green and tan Grind Rod's in stock.

 

I've had the same results. Paul can't find any and the one place that had them sold out a few weeks ago.

 

Oooooh! I've been dreaming of big Ordin for so long.

 

In vehicle mode th OS ones are pretty good scale with TT MP carbots,so it works for me...Id be down for OS UT terrorcons too

And he is now want listed. I wonder if he comes with the combiner parts?

 

That's good to know. I hope the last three do finally get released.

 

Someone in the know seems to think the combiner parts will come with the orange dude.
