I got my Cynicus in yesterday, and he's pretty nice. The in-hand feel of the figure reinforces that I'm never going to transform him though, and I'm probably not going to put his guns in his hands for fear of splittage. Love the headsculpt, the articulation is quite nice, and it feels great to finally have a complete DJD.

 

Got my shipping notice from Agabyss so the last two DJD members should arrive next week.

 

Pre-ordered these a long time ago with Kapow but not heard anything of them incoming. Any one else in the UK got any news?

How has the reissue held up after a ~couple of months now?

It’s fine as long as I don’t breathe on it and/or don’t transform it, or have him hold his weapons?

I’m thinking about getting MMC Cynicus/Vos just to comple the DJD instead of pretending he is permanently in his alt mode gun accessory from the Nickel/The Pet 2 pack.

 

Mine's been holding up just fine and I do fiddle with him occasionally, but I still can't transform him because of a flaw with the scope simply not being able to fold the front part in correctly, it just can't clear the hinge. Though given I have the "mode locked" Vos gun from the Ni/Foxwire set, I don't really need to transform him as the static gun essentially is everything I could want the real one to do anyway besides be a darker shade of purple.

Also, in terms of holding his gun, there's been no risk of breakage, it just slides right into his hands. It is a bit of a tight fit but I've done it multiple times at this point and the hands are holding up like champs.

 

Both good, but I'll admit to not trying to transform Vos.

 

Is the folding flaw in the scope a universal flaw or just your copy?

 

I'd say it's an engineering problem as the piece simply looks like it's slightly too long to actually fit into the space it's meant to - theoretically I could sand the offending edge down to make it fit but that would ruin the plastic finish and I don't want to do that. It could also be a misassembled part but I can't get the offending part to split in half and this let me examine how the swivel joint inside actually works. I think it's exclusive to mine (though likely not the only instance) since other people have transformed both the fragile original and the re-issue without any such problems.

 

I've barely touched my copy, so I really couldn't tell you. I just put him in a sniping pose, took a couple of pictures, and plopped him on the shelf. I have not put his guns in his hands yet because it's such a tight fit, but that doesn't mean it will break.

 

I've received by a few days ago, but it's not as flimsy as I was afraid be might be. I'm skipping on transforming him, but I will likely pose him ever once in a while.

 

Was that Vos gun that came with the Nickel and Pet two pack a PSX exclusive for the first run? None of the current listings for the pack list the gun as an accessory but it wouldn’t be the first time retailers don’t list everything that comes with a figure.

 

No, I actually wasn't expecting the gun to come with my 2-pack, but I think it is a standard accessory purely because Gun-Vos has a gimmick where you can swap the handles so Ni can recreate a scene of her holding him.

 

Alrighty then, ordereing Vos! I will be in the “won’t ever transform him either” group.

I just got this guy today. Quite impressive for the size and slenderness.

I have a question: The chest plate rotates around quite easily and gets moved out if place with the slightest touch, is this normally how it is?

Yes it is. The only version I've ever had that didn't have that problem (or any of the other usual ones) is the Asterisk version. But the 4 regular ones I've owned (and the 1 I still do) all had annoying chest plates.
