With the flood of new toys from TFcon 2014, I don't think this has been mentioned much, but IT'S FREAKIN CRASHER!

Okay quick FAQ:

Q1. Who is this DX9?
A1. DX9 is a designer who worked on later Unique Toys figures like the Sharkies, Maniaking and Soundmixer. They also made the recent Salmoore figure that is based on GoBots Cy-Kill.

Q2. Who is Crasher?
A2. Crasher is one of the main villains on Challenge of the GoBots.

Q3. What are GoBots?
A3. The lower cost, diecast, transforming robot toys that had a show before Transformers.

Q4. Why does he have eyeshadow?
A4. Crasher is a female GoBot.

Q5. Doesn't that mold look sorta like Classic Mirage?
A5. Yeah, it does. There is a remold of this as Mirage called Invisible.

Q6. How much? Where do I get one? When?
A6. To be announced.

Q7. Hot tall is Crasher?
A7. 16cm./6.3 inches in robot mode.

 

Waaaaaaant!!!

 

Ok we need a Mirage remold of that! Hope it's not one of those Legends figures

 

Could be cool, hopefully the head on the physical version looks less like Andross from Star Fox than the one on the render.

 

I smell an inevitable Mirage redeco.

looks awesome, totally gonna be redeco'd into mirage i agree too, shame itsjust a rendering. not much in teh way of details or a close look at eh design. complexity appears to be deluxe to small voyager-ish...

 

It looks like they heavily modified the Classics Mirage mold. She looks great though.

 

The mold is obviously more mirage than crasher.

 

Well Salmoore is a heavily redesigned Generations Wreck-Gar. This is a heavily remolded toy too.

 

Just read the wiki. So Crasher was a she... no wonder I found those lips and voice weird for a guy when I was a kid watching the gobots  

Definitely on my watchlist.

 

I too was confused about her until many many years later finding out she was a she. Was quite ahead of her time really, predating arcee and everything, technically making her the first fembot character.

Has DX9 released any products yet? they seem to have a lot in the works and yet I don't recall anything by them coming out thusfar.

Um, yeah... Go-Bots had a large female cast. Crasher, Smallfoot, Path Finder, Snoop, Sparky, Vamp, etc.

Bob Budanski planed to have Ratchet be female, but Hasbro nixed it because the wanted the Transformers to be genderless at first. Later on they added females.

DX9 made Salmoore. It's out now. They also did the design work for Unique Toys Sharkies, Maniaking and Soundmixer.

 

Oh neat, Salmoore turned out pretty great so then this figure should be well made, awesome.

 

Totally remember the show but had no clue this dude was a chick. Kinda cool their giving the Go-Bots some lovin.

 

Will watch this project, Crasher and Leader 1 are on my go-bots wish list.

By the way, the voice actress for Crasher was at last year's TFCon in Toronto, as well as Black-Aracknea, and it was a fantastic interview / question period.
