Faceplate options for Hardhead and Highbrow? So much win. Goodbye redundant Headrobots Hardhead. Looking forward to all of these. I only wish we could get Stylor in the correct colors for head mode. Faceplate for their Brainstorm too. I would gladly throw money at redesigned heads for both as a two pack.

Ok, this one I really like, it's just a shame that FP's Headmasters are a little small for my tastes.

Design looks fantastic, but you can already tell that he can't move his arms out to the sides very far at all. These figures are an absolute joy to transform, but the limited poseability is such an annoying, avoidable flaw (I like to have my figures in dynamic poses on my shelf). If that weren't the case, this line would be perfect IMO. I'll still get them all anyway lol. Love the face options!

Wow. I can't wait for this guy.

Did they have an ETA on X 5 through X 8?

Once this comes out, I'm relegating Universe/Headrobots Hardhead to the Alternator shelf, along with Universe Silverbolt and Henkei Onslaught.

Jizai seems to be doing a little better with these newer figures. This one though is almost too slavish to G1

Looks great! Seems more accurate to the G1 toy too. Nothing against ToyWorld but glad I held out on getting Hardbone as I'd rather that all my Headmasters came from the same 3P company and shared similar aesthetics. Also digging the more muted military green on him compared to the bright neon green on Hardbone.

Wow! I honestly am not a fan of the first 5 of fansproject's headmasters, but I'm really really liking this along with Apeface and Highbrow!!! Fansproject is extremely hit or miss with me and these recent 3 are absolute hits!!! We'll see...

I could watch that all day - he has just the right mix of chunky simplicity and complexity to press all my buttons - I might pop my Fx cherry for this and have him hang out with warpath.

Not sure what the hype is with this, it's pretty standard transformation. X7 and X8 though .... Big WOW.

REALLY liking the F(x) Skullcruncher and Hardhead at this point. The transformations make these things shine. So little wasted space. But still solid-looking like good hand-candy should be.

Neat video. It looks like they did away for the overly gimmicky, complex transformations on Hardhead and Highbrow; the robot modes look pretty nice and don't suffer as much.

I'm liking the visor and faceplate variations for Hardhead's Headmaster.

Not too sure how that faceplate works. It looks like it might be connected to the headmaster figure's head. Pull it out longer, and the face plate goes down. Put it into robot mode as you normally would its faceplate is up. Intriguing.

In this demonstration render, the faceplace is clearly part of the robot body (or the transtector, if you're looking at it from the Japanese Headmaster viewpoint). You can see where it slides down into the area underneath the head socket during the animation, and that piece is the rear of the tank in vehicle mode. You can even still see the yellow slider at the back of the tank in the pan around shot.

Now, whether they keep this design into the actual physical mold is the question. Assuming Hardhead is the same size as the others, that's a tiny little slider and plate, so I'm not sure how well the design would work. Then again, maybe 6-8 could be a larger size? Would make sense for Apeface to be a little bigger as well.

On further consideration of the video, if there is a faceplate option, and only if there is a faceplate option, I'll consider replacing my Hardhead. I'll need to see it demonstrated in the prototype; I'm still feeling burned by the misinformation passed around Smart Robin that claimed a faceplate would be included.
