I thought this was just going to be using the existing classics prime but nope they've pulled an mt and remade the base figure mold n tweaked it too though like mt's probably has the cross compatibility with the original figure too. Wheels seem a bit small:

 

Looks awful. A rare FP product that doesn't interest me.

 

I don't understand "slightly re-doing" a decade old mold and leaving the flaws, like the bigass arm kibble.

Make it compatible with the existing mold or make a brand new one that does what you want.

Yeah I corrected my post when I noticed. The figure on display in the photos is indeed a classics prime wearing the armor set but they've shown a redo of it in those slides I posted. So like MT they intend to make the armor work for both their own mold and the old one.

 

Received a clarification. The New Leader is basically an add-on to Classics Voyager OP, much like City Commander. So, the pics on the first post is the armored version. It will come with a trailer.

 

I'm super excited for this. They should do a Fire Guts version for Botcon Ginrai.

 

I really wish they would chill out with the giant fists.

 

I'm all for a decent Powermaster Prime but I don't think this pulls it off. In this day and age the upgrade armors are kinda pointless when a brand new figure could be made for close to the same price these days.It is pretty cool looking, but I'm satisfied with Orion as my Prime.

 

New prime would have been cool, but this just doesn't work for me at all

why upgrade a 10 year old mold that they already made armor for in the past? Its an absolute failure in concept and execution imo

 

For a second I thought that they'd pull a MakeToys move. Visions of an FP Ultra Magnus to go with my FP city commander armor starting dancing around my head.

Man... they should've posed this bad boy next to and old school City Commander.

Wonder how long before they add the God Bomber pieces. (Though TBH, that God Bomber from Xovergen looks sweet... and it's neat that it can attach to MP Prime, completely skipping the first armor...)
