Loving the croc mode. Can't decide if I'll get this guy or not, I already have the toyworld one on the way

 

IMHO neither company nails the croc mode. The snout in this one is longer but it's too narrow. Reminds me of one of the new dinobots.

 

To each their own.

It's not like the Hasbro figures are slavishly G1 either. Look at Optimus and Megatron as examples. As long as you can tell who the character is by looking at it, they've done their job.

 

Croc mode is pretty nice, though the car roof look is odd and he has a strange thumb in the wrong place on his front feet. Very odd. Bot mode is pretty boring though. All in all I think I like Swamper better for a Skullcruncher.

Looks ok, i am sure it will look better in color. I wonder if they are still doing the Alligator-con recolor they showed last year.

 

I love the shape and posture of the gator mode but... damn, that super-smooth car canopy on the back and robot chest are REALLY distracting. Hope some tech detailing or spikes or SOMETHING go on there to better integrate it with the rest of the figure.

 

I just hope they don't add some random colour accents in areas that stick out too much like they did with Mindwipe...My intention of buying all the F(x) line has kinda diminished after seeing Mindwipe's reveal....

 

I love the gator mode of this and the transformation, but I think the Toyworld version looks better in robot mode.

 

Mine have only increased. Sigma L looks so awesome...

This looks like a good attempt, but toy worlds nails the aesthetics in both forms. Maybe this is like v1 and they will update it with a better overall appearance? To much stuff going on around the crocs legs. Easy pass atm.

 

looks ok but toy world is looking better to me for bot mode at least and could careless really about alt mode, would like to see this in color first too.

I agree. This looks like a good crocodile but toyworlds looks like a better "toy" and who it is meant to be. Still going to have this though because I like the line. Not so much the dinos.

 

Blech. I am just not a fan of the x series. None of them look good to me. The bot modes look generic imo and the altmodes just look awful. I'm particularly let down by apeface as he is one of my all time favs. Owell, hopefully toyworld will have something equally as impressive as thier gator bot.

 

It's always interesting to me how different people can look at the same things and see totally different things. It's kind of fun, actually.

Because I feel completely the opposite to you. Toyworld's looks too simple, blocky, and "kiddy" to me. Whereas FP's effort, especially in the alligator/croc mode (do we know which one it's supposed to be, btw?). I agree however, that the robot chest looks odd, at least in proto. I really expect the colors to go a long way to helping solve that problem though.
