FP Grimmy is sooooo reserved...

 

I just hope they give him a good head, don't make it too much like G1. If Sludge's legs are any indication, I'm gonna like the form.

 

Probably just me, but I'd love an IDW inspired head. With the teeth in the grill, sorta thing

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was talking about the dino head. But the IDW bot head for grimmy is cool too.

 

Oh yeah, I'm with ya! I don't know exactly what to expect by looking at their Sludge, how they're going to tackle their Dino looks. But colour me excited! Grimlock can be 50/50 on looking either awesome in Dino-mode or terrible, and I really feel like the 'rex head is a big factor in that

 

Head and stance (Godzilla upright or TRex horizontal) will be a big part what makes or breaks it, IMO. FP Sludge's head is a bit more G1 than I'd like, but here's hoping they do a better job with the others.

 

Me, personally, you can't go wrong with a G1 head sculpt. The teeth on the grill are fine, but I would be just as happy going G1. I think a horizontal stance for alt mode would be fine, I mean CHUG's are modern interpretations, especially of alt modes, so horizontal would be fine as well.

 

Excited to see these, I really hope theres no teeth sculpted on the robot mode head, Ive always disliked that aesthetic.

And someone has just posted in the Volar thread it might not be Grimlock but Paddles as a female velociraptor.

I personally think it is Grimlock in an unflattering pose. He looks like his back has been arched up and head tilted up to make him roar, and we don't really see where his back legs begin. I think a clearer picture might be more telling and more flattering.

I'm thinking Grimlock too. He is the next LER in the numbering sequence, at least according to the original release schedule.

To, me he clearly looks arched up as you say with his back half hidden. I don't see any resemblance to Godzilla.

At least I hope he's arched up, I'd much prefer a modern T-Rex as opposed to the old tripod look.

Hopefully he looks scrawny because he's off in the distance a bit.

Wow, that silhouette looks horrible. I hope actual pictures of it come out soon and it looks better, but FP's dinos have gotten worse with each release. Good thing there's Planet X, Toyworld and Fanstoys to pick up the slack.

 

The Velociraptor is LER-05.

 

So that is a raptor and not a T-rex then?

Do you know Daim if that is a new mode for Grimmy or an original character?
