Either way, that's one sexy Stegosaur. Can't wait to have him on my shelf. Now we just need to see their Slug/Slag/Whatever we're calling him.

I can't wait to see Slag and I really hope they go ahead with their own Grimlock... it would be so nice to have a full set of these guys from them.

 

Yeah, they're definitely spot on, I just know 3rd party companies have a hard time balancing painted areas and translucent plastic areas. In face the lack of translucent plastic is probably the #1 reason I'm passing on TW's dinobots.

Yeah, it's no dealbreaker, but it would definitely improve the figure.

Some people hate it because of how it looks and some hate it for being brittle. I personally have never had an issue with it, and I can't stand windows and such that are painted instead of clear, even if it shows all the crap on the inside. It's the glossy finish that makes it special, and these spikes really need that.

 

Yeah, I was going to bring up that he's so hunched or whatever in the concept art because, well, he actually is. In the art his pose has his front legs collapsed down and his back legs almost full extended.

As for the bit that forms his bot mode legs, well, I imagine the slight changes there are to accommodate the fact that they actually become the bot mode legs.   The one bit that jumped out, to me, is that his head looks proportionately larger than in the art/game. Though that might just be the angle of the photo?

Either way, I think Snarl's the best looking of PX's dino's so far. Which I'm really glad about, because Snarl is my favorite dinobot.  

 

Congratulations jerk faces. Now I have to wait even longer for my most awaited triceratops. I hate you all.  

I LOVE THIS! I'm only a little disappointed that his spines don't become a metric buttload of axes but oh well. He looks fantastic.

And as for people complaining about the release, while valid, it is worth pointing out that we're seeing a prototype before Sludge is even released. So we're already 6+ months faster than Sludge's time line. So it seems they are going faster, which yay!

Now to continue my long, lonely, triceratops-less vigil and cry into the night...   (Seriously, he's my favorite Dinobot and his game design is my favorite design and I don't buy any of the other 3rd party dinobots...)

not sure how I feel about this one... gonna wait for colored pics. Right now not feeling excited, but maybe colored pics will change my mind.

 

Omg! This looks incredibly faithful to FOC, I can't wait. This just reinforces to me that they really do need to produce their own version of FOC Grimlock now.

I haven't bought into any other 3rd party Dino's other than FT so being a Genesis and Caelus owner, I don't think I would be dissatisfied if I didn't pick up FP, TW or any other versions of these guys once the FOC team is complete

Good to see these are still coming, that they are leaving Slag til after Snarl makes me think they'll still be making them all, which is a release-to-release concern for me, tbh.

I would like to see Grimlock, but if they were to do Snarl and Slag, I'd be happy enough with my Takara + upgrades Grimmy

It good to see that Planet X has come along from having people wonder if they were continuing after Caelus, to looking like they will be 3/4th (or 4/5ths) along by early next year.

Well, at least I hope that they will be having a reasonably brisk release schedule.

 

I'm totally in the PX camp now, this will be my set of Dinobots. Extremely high quality, accuracy to the FoC aesthetic, and really cool transformations. The long wait on Neptune/Sludge had me a little disheartened, but it looks like they are picking up speed now.

I am anxious to see Slag too. He is one of my favorites too. I don't mind waiting though as I was hoping Snarl was next for my girl's sake. Snarl does tend to get left out a lot more along with Sludge then the other 3. So I think it's better this way. Even if we have to wait a bit longer for our Triceratops love.  

I REALLY hope they do their own Grimlock. He needs to be done to really complete this set. Sure we could all use our FoC Hasbro Grimlocks but you SO know that if Planet X does their own it will totally kick ass all over the Hasbro (Understandable giving the differences in price) and it will just look so much better as a set.

I really really hope they do Grimlock... We NEED him. We really do...

 

In for this. Love the FoC Snarl design, so this will be an easy buy

 

I'm not getting the FoC Dino set, but this Snarl is VERY tempting.
