Not really feeling the robot mode but I'm loving the slavishly G1 alt- mode, can't wait to see Scattorshot, he's my favorite! Something tells me the individual bots are going to look better than the combined form.

 

Cool, very G1. Any word on doing a missile launcher like in the G1 version. The big guns look like they could peg in higher up as well.

 

WB does not mess around. Very nice. The only G1 Technobot I owned as a kid was Afterburner and this pretty much looks more like him than Quantron's version.

 

Holy shit!!! Now that's Afterburner!!!!

I'll be buying two sets of this. One for combined mode, one for individual bots.

I wonder if you'll be able to close the wheels behind his back to match the G1 version?

Please let them nail the G1 colors on this.

Also, that is totally Afterburner in bot-mode and in alt-mode. I think MT's "Tron" bike is uninspired.

 

Nice head and bike mode.

His torso looks a bit bloated, and I don't particularly like the way the wheels sit behind the head. I wonder if those can be done put somewhere else or transformed differently.

 

That settles it. I definitely like Maketoys version better.

Not that it matters. I don't think I'm doing any more combiners. I'm actually mildly tempted to pick up Make toys version of this guy by himself. I really like their interpretation.

 

Is it totally out of the question for people to have different tastes/preferences/judgments? Don't take things personally, unless you designed this yourself.

... Or unless you're shilling for Warbotron.

 

Anyone else having trouble getting to page 26 of the WB-03 main thread. Keeps reloading page 25 for me when I hit 26.

 

Are the black colored sections on the figure indicative of the colors they will use, or just there because this is likely a test shot?

 

So he has to be able to design his own toy before he can criticize what he sees? Why are you so hurt by what he said?

 

Duplo block engineering is G1 accurate. I thought fans were always screeching about G1 accuracy around these parts.

I'd rather see them prove themselves with one complete gestalt before they start another.

But 3P being the way it is, maybe that doesn't actually make sense.

Maybe he's just tired of the steady chorus of 'Rarrrgh that sucks!' that characterizes this forum. If you're going to damn something, maybe wait 'til there's an actual review first.

That alt mode is just pure awesome. Very excited to see more!
