Sounds good to me. I was hoping that FP would be doing Defensor, to scale the altmodes with their Stunticons, but I'm sure MT will do a fine job.

I really wanted them to do the Aerialbots though. Maybe after the Protectobots.

Defensor, eh? Just going by M3 Intimidator's and Quantron's height, I'm guessing this theoretical MT Defensor will most likely be bigger than FP Bruticus, which doesn't exactly sit right with me (I'd prefer the other way around).

I would be interested in a smaller Defensor, but not if its only sold in a 5 pack.

 

Can't say I agree. If MakeToys does make a Defensor and the design & quality is anything remote as Green/Yellow Giant, I would seriously wait for this version than that of TFC's. Not to knock TFC, but so far MTC has shown their combiner designs have been top-notch. However, since this news is still in "rumor" stage, only time will tell.

I wouldn't mind going for both (why not, eh? I own both Hercules and Green Giant Type 61 and like each one for different reasons). The different sizes and aesthetics could warrant both purchases.

FP Bruticus, GG, and M3 I tend to display in combined mode with my G1 Revoltechs (both the Kaiyodo and 3P Custom Robots offerings) seeing how they fit the Scout-class scale (I'm guessing MTCM-04 Defensor limbs will be about Scout class). Hercules, Uranos, Ares, and Prometheus tend to look better with Classics, I think. Warbotron could swing with either Classics or Masterpiece (but I'm currently displaying Air Burst with my MP Cons collection).

In any case, I'm liking what TFC is doing with Prometheus thus far but I'll most likely pick them up only when all the members are released and I can save a few dollars by buying them all as a set. I'll most likely do the same with this not-Defensor (unless Early Bird pricing is involved).
