It isn't much but it's enough, especially when compared to other MPs was my point. But hey, that's just my opinion. I was responding to someone's question so now he's getting responses of what people think.

MP22 is a bad measuring stick though. Even TT official product purists will tell you he's way off in the scale charts. Using him to set the scale resets the standard of things jiving with MP10...and I'd rather have my MP's go with MP10 and have a slightly larger UM then having everything be oversized for just the sake of being larger then UM.

So for me I'm cool with having 1 sore thumb. UM is still a fantastic toy that can't mass shift. Having half a collection that is in scale with MP10 and another half that goes with MP22 just is bizarre imo.

 

I have the other FTs Dinos and am going to continue but these head sculpts though... jesus! every time I look at Sever I facepalm myself. If they don't fix it I hope some other 3rd party does.

 

Do people just pose their figures standing straight up, legs together like a soldier? I like scaling just like anyone here but similar to photography magic, you can magically adjust the heights of your figures to scale how you'd like them to be with a little knee bend here, and a wide stance there, y'know. Ultra Magnus too tall? No problem, bend some knees, have him squat down a little. As others have said, it's just half a head diff between Sever and Gutter. I'm sure someone who has both figures could easily bring Gutter down to Sever's height.....then the whole fandom would be like "see, they're the same size...."

I've got both FT and Giga's Snarls PO'ed, but yeah, I have to agree. I'm not a huge fan of either face sculpt. It seems like Dr. Wu focuses mostly on official Takara figures, so I think SXS is the only hope we have. I still have money waiting for a replacement head for DX9's Invisible, though I don't know if that head is too small for them to make any sort of profit. I do like how on the two replacement heads they've done, both have come with multiple face options.

 

I wish they would poll out the head sculpts to the fandom. Lots of people on the forum do really nice mods with those graphic programs and I'm sure none of them would be offended if the company used it or offered theirs as an alternative head/ face.

 

photoshopping is one thing. actually doing the 3D design of the the face is another...whether that is done on a computer or by a sculptor.

 

Head is not that bad. Geez, just get this piece out already and make it QC free!!

I don't mind the head. It's just the rest of the figure is so amazing, it's easier to spot the weakEST link - the head.

I'm thinking if I were to double up, FT version is going to be T(oy) or (comi)X, but X costs a lot more. I have Soar(T) and Scoria(toon), but since he's falling to bits wouldn't mind upgrading to (T) eventually. And Wardog over Apollyon.
