Yeah the face sculpt on pan is absolutely beautiful so its a bit of a bummer mt went with a head design that obscures so much of it.

His head naturally angles down too at a constant hunch (though you can finangle his upper torso a bit if you want) so you're typically looking at it from a bad angle obscuring it even further.

I think after a few weeks with him now the head has become perhaps a bit of a thing that bugs me now between the above reasons and the fact it does seem just a tad too small even for a super massive power house city bot and the ponytail tail is a neat idea but in practice kinda just gets in the way. But god damn is everything else about him so nice I can deal with that. Perhaps mt would consider alternate heads some day, I'd super be down for that.

    Agreed.
Luckily mine is up on top of a detolf now so at least I get to see some of the head sculpt.
If the had made the visor detachable everyone could have been happy, but small niggles on an exceptional piece.

While I'm thinking about Pan nitpicks n potential upgrades. He could really use some fill in pieces for his claw fingers too. They're not super bad but they have enough gaps I wish weren't there so they looked a little more solid on the inside.

Maybe some screw fills for his legs and arms too.

I also wouldn't mind perhaps some extra accessory pieces specifically to make his temple mode a little more base-like. Some ramps or platforms or something that could perhaps attach to him, that would be neat.

Agreed! I like the poses of him with the claws separated and open, but then you see the hollow gaps!

This being the sole reason I cannot pull the trigger on this awesome figure. Next to my combiners, he should be aprox 3-4 inches taller which I think was very doable. If a good quality OS KO comes out, I will be all over it.

I broke down and preordered the 3rd shipment from Ages 3 & Up (hey, I'm in Vancouver and can pick it up for no shipping costs!)

My god my budget for TFs is completely destroyed this year.

I blame it on you guys, I really do :p

I love how these city bots scale with Iron Factory figures.

Sorry if it's been brought up before, but how's the little Zarak figure scale with the Fansproject Headmasters? I'm wondering if Pandinus can stand in for a Function-X Scorponok.

He is bigger, maybe 2x the overall mass.

I think he very much can be the stand-in you want. It's what I'm doing with mine. I think he looks really good with the Fx figures and even alongside the PE Fort Max.

He's head and shoulders taller than fps' but eh scales well enough.

I dunno if the same can be said for the full figure though.

Thanks, Aza. The full-figure scale is fine too me, since anything what would require mass-shifting.

If FP doesn't do an actual Function-X release for Scorponok or Fortress Maximus, I'll consider Pandinus on his own. Or, if MT does Fort Max then that and Pandinus would become must-buys.

    Hi guys,

    I have something bothering me,

Last month a guy from Maketoys came to Thailand with Pandinus Prototype and some stuff to display in Thailand Toy Expo 2016
After the event Maketoys guy left Pandinus with a guy here in Thailand

he was claiming that this Pandinus was a gift of appreciation from Maketoy guy himself. After a while He posted this Pandinus in ThaiTransformer Market on Facebook .... everyone in the group known that this one is the prototype,

Just want to ask if it normal for any reviewer or any person to sell out a prototype product given by the company like this???

Yeah happens all the time. Don't see why its a problem. Unless of course he's selling it for way more than its worth then that's kinda shitty. But eh if dood can make some easy money good for him.

Still very shitty he would take a gift like that and use it to make a buck. I have a clear and white prototype of the chaos paladin figure that was given to me as a gift. It is a legit make toys prototype and the absolute holy grail of my collection.. I would never sell it for any price .. If someone gave me the prototype for pandinus it would live in my collection until it turned to dust

Some collectors own a lot of things and don't see the value in owning certain in progress items that aren't super special to them.

In this case your chaos pali is special to you but that pan wasn't special to him - and that's the big difference and why he is completely fine to sell something he has no desire for.

Biggest problem with this is the sample he received was not a final and had many things wrong with it including joints that are much too tight. The arms are prone to twisting off actually as they are so tight. Pretty shifty for the guy getting it as he could mess it up pretty easily.

I don't disagree I just feel very different about anything that was given as a gift.. I have lots of regular figures that were a gift or a surprise I would also not part with.. I can see how someone would rather put that toward some bills Or other parts of the collection
