If that's the case and he's only Leader class, I hope the alt-mode isn't wasted on a "city".

i think it looks cool but its a waste. why make a tinyish citybot? Generations metroplex is fine....especially i you were lucky enough to get one of the ACG or SDCC chromed out ones.

if they want to make a leader class or even Hercules size toy...it should be a G1 inspired omega supreme. as cool as the WFC one is....its not G1 enough for my classics.

    THIS.

Folks would kill for a Trypticon to go with Metroplex.

That said... I guess it's a nice bot-mode sculpt... but IDK if this is at all needed. OK sure, there's some aspects to the city mode on the Generations figure that could've been done better (the hands primarily)... but you're talking about something on a 80-120$ budget... versus a 3rd Party equivalent that most likely would be 300-500 bucks. There are also 3P upgrade kits coming out that would fix up Gen Metro quite a bit for less.

I'd say they ought to consider teasing a digibashed MetroTitan or even SG Metro with a Trypticon scheme to test the response waters. Folks have a Metroplex, but well... repaints always get a good lot of us, despite claims to the contrary at times.

One thing will sell me on a third party Metroplex. It has to be able to do this with the TFC Uranos limbs!

    Three cheers for Jetroplex!

I already like what I see here better than Hasbro's. It has more of that squat, blocky aesthetic that I associate with Metroplex. If it's considerably smaller than Hasbro's I'll be in for sure.

Yup, better than Hasbro's attempt. Much more appealing. Look forward to seeing a more neutral pose to see how much of his abdomen is being covered up by this angle. Want to see how the silhouette looks.

That's actually a good feature and selling point.

Thing is though... the scale is an issue. Does Uranos still sport Energon ports like Herc BTW? If so, I could see them add the option, and these working with the Energon figures a bit better honestly. Scouts would be closer to the current Legends, and as such closer to the comparison of this City Bot to the rest of the TF cast.

I am certain this guy has been in the works LONG before Hasbro announced theres. And it looks good!

Hasbro's Metroplex is one of my favorites of the Gen line.

    Yup. Pretty much this.

The question of 'Why?' that I've read in regards this in a few places makes me chuckle/mad in equal amounts.

    NOT EVERYONE LIKES GEN METROPLEX.....

Let that sink in a little. Think about it for a second.

    A little more.

    Geddit?

    Good. Now moving on.

Let's see how big this one is gonna be.

Looks like Action Master Metroplex to me. Other then some possible seams, it doesn't look like it transforms.

I have passed on Gen Metro because shipping to NZ is as much as a masterpiece Autobot car, and it would be hard to hide/explain to my significant other.

However, depending on price and his other modes, this offering might just fill the gap...

Well articulated hands that look like they can store in alt mode(s), great proportions, not too massive. I'm liking the looks of this. Gotta wonder what that big thing on his back is though. I wonder if he'll come with a Scamper, Slammer and Six Gun? If the price isn't too exhorberant then I'm interested.

I can't see buying this, but I do like the design much more than Generations Metroplex. That thing is a mess, aesthetically. It looks terrible in all 3 modes.

All I can think of is "why?" I'm always glad when a good third-party toy comes out but this seems extremely unnecessary.

Why would they go to the bother of making folding ramps inside the legs, pegs on the inside of the shins, double hinge platform on the outside of the legs, and fists pinned to rotate inside the of the forearms for a statue?

It has similarities in bulk to FOC, but that is it. I think it is very clear that its not meant to be a FOC Metroplex in the slightest. It is a scrunched down G1 update, not very different than the Generations toy really. This new one just looks more like the original toy, as far as proportions anyway.

p.s. I don't quite care for it either.

So, wait, this is a Metroplex that goes with the Kreo line??? To me, that's exactly where this 3rd party figure looks like it belongs. Sorry but I'll be keeping my Generations Met instead.
