I've just found another one of My G1 Metroplex's has fallen victim to the dreaded waist break. I have looked at the DIY ways to fix it but none seem perfect. So here's a question:

Would you buy a 3rd Party Replacement Waist for Metroplex Which could be fitted in place of his current crotch-piece do give you a more durable figure?

Say if it was an exact copy of the original from the outside but with thicker plastic securing it at the base and maybe a metal pin running through it (like PM Optimus's Guns in Japan)

(I'd buy at least 3 if it was about $8)
