FT Swoop is a cert to be bigger man, pretty sure Swoop is the same height as Prime in the holy scale chart and this Swoop is around MP10's shoulders(ish).

So whenever a 3rd party announces a project, we should just automatically assume another company will do a version of the same character, right?

that is likely to suffer from competition with FT reputation
it would have been more effective to do the cybertronian version of the team, before they were reformated into dinosaurs

You mean like Justitoy making Dinbots (in 6 different color variants!), Toyworld announcing they are making Dinobots, FansToys making Dinobots, Planet X making Dinobots, now a company called Bullsfire is making a Dinobot!

Heck, I even have my Scramble City style KO Swoop. He's a downsized G1 Swoop that turns into a Scramble City style arm.

BTW - Where is my TFC Toys Dinobot combiner?

Those Scramble city dinos with some tweaks and G1 colours would easily sell for premium prices. Shame they made them so low end when the idea is really good.

Has anyone radiconed them yet ?

I'm on the fence about Scoria when I see better picture i'll decide - he's a little price - I'd be more likely to pay a premium for Snarl than Swoop.

You'd think someone would make Classic style dinos to complement Classics Grimlock (perhaps with unusual transformations like Grimlock has to keep the idea going).

I would suggest if you looking for a lovely Dino look in the Knock off thread.

yay! yet another third party figure of a character the third party has already done a figure of! Lets the comments about "Choice" and "Better than Hasbro" commence.

So, basically, they want $200 for a voyager sized figure? Are you kidding me? Pass. I'll wait for FT Swoop. He'll scale far better with Scoria than this guy will.

We have a Legends G1 toy (Justitoys), and a Deluxe sized FOC toy (Planet X). Which one of those should stop us from having a MP Swoop again?

It honestly looks like a really good effort. Color me interested, but not willing to drop $200 on a new company's first go around.

    Watching from a distance ...

I buy MPs domestically, as I'm in Japan. Had I bought him abroad, I'm sure he would have been more.

Official toys will most likely always be cheaper than 3PC, so long as you purchase them at MSRP.

My only hope for this one is that it makes FT go the extra mile on their answer to Swoop.

I agree with what others are saying.

    1. Looks like a great first effort.
    2. Timing is unfortunate since FT is a fan favorite and will likely be bigger at the same or similar price point.
    3. I'm all-in for FT's projects, not just their dinobots so unfortunately, I'll pass.

People shouldn't be too surprised that we're seeing this and shouldn't blame these guys for choosing Swoop. We know that it can take a long time to get a figure to market so I'm sure these guys were well into the prototyping stage by the time FT announced their dinos. Looks like there are plenty of people already who are interested in this scale so hopefully they'll be fine!

I wish these guys luck, but I prefer my swoop to not have his ballsack dangling down like that for all to see. So, hopefully ft goes a different route with the beak.

Your lucky in that respect. The vast majority of us have to import and I'd wager more ppl paid more for MP13 than they did for Quakewave.

Yeah, for me, FT Quakewave was cheaper than any of the recent MP toys that are 8" - 9", I guess since the age of MP-08 who became very expensive as opposed to MP-01 or MP-03 or MP-05. You are lucky you can get MP cheaper than most of us.
