UT warlord is the most faithful G1 cartoon rendition you can get.

Wait until they're all released so you can make a proper, educated, decision.

there are 3, MMC, UT and TFC. Always get the one the appeals to you most.

MMC = Menacing mechanized beefcake version

UT = Very G1 with updated articulation and a wicked combined form. Also the only complete one at this time and the best price. $375 on Aces for the complete team.

TFC = Ugly paint apps and an inevitable add on kit to fix one of their stupid design choices. My other gripe about the TFC version is the Size, their Razorclaw is the size of MP10 which does not fit scale wise into many collections.

So imo if your a chug type of person go with UT if you want smaller team members but a combined form that matches nicely to Maketoys Giant, FP Colossus and M3.

Go with MMC if you like chug but love Predaking and think they should all be voyager sized bots and a Massive combined form that towers over all except Metro

Skip TFC because it will just be filled with heartbreak in the end, still haven't decided if I have buyers remorse on Uranos yet.

For me I'm really honestly torn between UT and MMC. all the completed pics of Warlord look amazing, FeralRex though is massive and very updated bot/beast modes. For me it will probably come down to cost in which case UT wins

This thread is inevitably going to descend to bickering between MMC/TFC fans. My advice? Don't listen to either. Look at pics. Bovis/Fortis and Nemean are all solid figures by every personal account. Pick what looks good to you.

Buy the one you want, don't depend on a forum to guide your decision (or lack there of) making skills. Go with your gut.

I like things from all three sets. I really dig UT's combined mode look (it's sleek and pretty imposing in its own right) but I'm not a fan of the individual members. What bothers me the most about UT's version is that the first entry (War Hawk) had some QC and paint issues but each release after it got better and better. This, however, makes for a pretty inconsistent team overall.

TFC's version has some great looking beast modes and the bot modes aren't too shabby either. We haven't actually seen an "official" reveal of the combined mode yet nor have we seen the design of their not-Divebomb (just a silhouette).

MMC's version has awesome robot modes but a few lackluster beast modes (namely Tigris). The combined mode looks really beefy and I dig the overall look so far. Also, MMC has a great reputation in regards to customer service and QC.

The final factor you should consider is price. A full set of UT's Warlord is typically about $350 which is a good price. TFC's and MMC's will be around $530 (if you didn't get the Early Bird pricing for the MMC bots).

Of the three sets I'm personally going with MMC (already have Bovis and Fortis). I love these guys and the quality on them is remarkable. I like what I've seen of TFC's Ares but I was really burned on terrible QC issues with Uranos (had to send every one of them back to BBTS). That doesn't mean Ares will suffer from these issues but for the amount of money these cost I don't want to risk it.

TLDR: All three have their merits. UT: G1 looking bots and a sleek combined mode along with being the cheapest set. TFC: great beast modes (so far), decent bot modes. MMC: Great bot modes, mostly great beasts modes, beefy looking combined mode.

I have both bovis and fortis. Both of them are excellent quality and solid as bricks. They are bigger and I just believe you get more for your money with them. Plus the early bird pricing didn't hurt. UT's looks nice but just a little too skinny for predaking. The review I saw for nemean did not impress me and seemed to have some trouble with the build quality. go with your gut on which one looks best for you and your collection.

What KP said. Everyone here pretty much goes by what they like. I would do the research and look at all the pics and the figures released. Also check some of the video reviews. I'm getting all 3 and once again all I can say is they each have good points and bad points. Good luck

I just got TFC's Nemean in the mail yesterday and I love it. Out of all of them I prefer TFC's aesthetics especially in their beast modes. He is big, he's voyager class and may be out of scale if that's something that concerns you. I like how big it is, though, it's imposing and awesome.

There are some complaints though, his torso doesn't lock into it's bot-mode position so if you pick him up his waist sort of extends. The black parts of his back legs slide too and they were almost scary to force, a screwdriver and some light sanding took care of that though. The only QC issue I had is that one of his bot fists didn't like to stay on and a little nail polish took care of that.

I know a big thing with Uranos was his hips/legs being unstable. That is not case with Ares, Nemean's hip ratchets are just beautiful.

That being said, I do like MMC, but the combined mode just look too beefy for my taste. Individually I really like them, but TFC won out in the end. UT just doesn't do it for me at all.

This. Anything else apart for ut warlord is conjecture. We know nothing of how these combiners will end up. They might be awesome and they also might be floppy messes. Personally i have reserved optimism for all of them.

UT parts don't intergrate in all modes, that is a major problem for me personally.

TFC look like very good toys but to me they don't look like the predacons, sure they have good alt modes and their combined form is pretty nice but honestly they would probably better as repaints.

MMC: All parts store in all modes, all modes look like the predacon, combinded mode is just a peace of art, down side the limbs are retools of each other but they are really well done retools.

you should get the one you like, factoring in reviews which reveal problems or perks.
this is like asking what car you should get. it should depend on your financial situation and preference, and other reasonable information. the only reason we argue over this is because there are only 3 "cars" to choose from, so to speak.

or you can be a sheep and just do what most other people are doing.

You missed out on the early bird pricing for MMC's offerings, but don't let that stop you from taking a look at their offerings.

I'm going with MMC, everything about their set looks great. I love the individual modes, even their beast modes; their colors; their transformations (your hands will not be sore, and everything locks into place);weapons (individual and combined), as well as the idea of having an optional member, Felisaber. The size of the team and combined is pretty good too.

Compared to other products of similar size and accessories (the other Predakings or other), the Feralcons feel like the better deal.

In the end, you should get whichever appeals to you. If you're you still unsure at this point, why not wait it out? Like I said up above, you've already missed out on the early bird pricing--do keep in mind that Felisaber (the optional member) is made to order, so you might not want to sit on the idea of purchasing him or not for too long;)

    This is the best advice.

I'd skim both the TFC and MMC threads and get an idea of the positives and negatives of each offering and then just pick the one that fits in with your tastes.

Otherwise, KP's right...this thread will end badly...much like the Herc vs Giant thread.

Oh surely we can all be adults here. I like TFC. But choose what you like.
