Some people buy multiples - robot and alt mode... Some will buy one regular and the x to keep in box for future "collectible" sale... Others will only buy x for collectible, having chosen fp, TW, or creations for their Dinobot fix... and finally, some people only have mp08x, and the x line will go well with those collectors... Not sure how many honestly own 08x.

Tad bit of hyperbole, there, but love the enthusiasm!

Yes there is. You should be able to contact who ever you ordered him through to get the parts to fix them for free. If they do not sent them to you there is the option to order them though other outlets like Captured Prey for a rather small fee, $4 shipped in the US in this case or $2.50 + shipping international.

Do you think quality will be any different between the toon and toy versions? Better paint etc?

The gold chrome looks like it matches Soar's and Sever's gold chrome.

There has been no word on that as far as I've seen. People have asked, but no one has answered. Also Soar's and Sever's golds don't match as it is so it could look similar but could not match both.

The gold chrome is closer to but not the same as either Soar or Sever.

On the Scoria (Toy version) thread, Dalianjj specifically says that Soar and Sever's golds do not match, so even if these Toy versions match one of them, all 3 still won't match.

Anyone wonder if the chest chrome is going to look good or just busy?

After the comments about scoria shoulders, I went to pose mine as a robot, holding up other bots in the air... The left arm was perfect, right arm drooped (still solid enough to hold weapons, but not mp21)... Quick email to Captured Prey, a few days later, today new shoulders arrived at my door. Took less than 10min to install (did both sides, tho left was fine) and its better than new. Zero reasons to hold the shoulder issue against ft or the figure... It's so easy to fix, it's not funny. +++1 for captured prey for stellar service almost 7 months later.

It'd be a different story if Utopia was diecast...

It's a robot...and a robot dinosaur. Utopia could be made of platinum and it wouldn't matter. You can't compete against this.

Got this guy for christmas and damn. he's sick. few questions though. those panels that end up being the sides of his dino and wings in robot mode, why do they have pegs on the thinner ends? Do they attach to anything? Also, when trying to peg in all those pegs on the tail assembly to the back when going to dino mode, it seems extremely hard to line them all up. Is there a certain trick or method to transforming/collapsing the legs or something I'm not doing right? I pegged his legs/butt together as far as they can possibly go.

I've found that when things don't peg in properly, it is best just to change it back to the other mode and then start over. Usually I just missed a step or did it out of order, or got something slightly out of alignment but everything fits the second time around.

I'm posting here since I just got Scoria out tonight to mess with for fun and transformed him from bot to alt and it fits perfectly. This guy is so much fun and such an impressive feat of engineered.

I had to sand the posts/sockets on my Scoria leg halves before they would fit together correctly. They were way way way too tight out of the box.

Mine can do this stock. It held this poses fine for minutes till I got bored watching it. Full disclosure if I'd changed the weight distributions or angles it would not of held more extreme weight suspension. But All things being equal, yes or no, black or white, pass or fail....it passed.

I have the shoulder pieces but am in no hurry to swap them out. It just doesn't bug me more then metroplexes hips. Right now on my list of bots to fix scoria isn't top. I dream of the day I have time to really go to town on some issues. But right now it's just not bothering me

Did you flip down his chest panel to cover his belly? I think that's what the pegs might be for.
