I'm wondering if that is just light effect. Anyone got more pics of the collar area?

I noticed it on earlier pics from other sources, the comparison ones just made me more certain of it.

I haven't had any problems with Uncle Billy, I've bought Quakewave and some other stuff from him through multiple transactions. He doesn't seem to write english very well, but I've been able to communicate when I've had questions (no doubt he speaks english 1000 times better than I could do in chinese). Aliexpress requires you to confirm that you have received the item and you are satisfied before they release payment to the seller, so it seems like there's that protection but I have never had to use it.

I would verify expected delivery, if it's listed as a preorder then you may wait for a long time. You can also watch AliExpress for deals and discounts, they do a lot of lightning sale coupons that I've always missed.

There's also the consideration about whether the KO will go down in price, like the MP-12 ones did after a few weeks. I'm waiting to see what the "loose Asia version" auctions do on ebay after a while, right now they're going high but I expect them to calm down a bit.

Really? It's odd then. Why show the KO in packaging with the red eyes in the first pics and then swap it to the blue for the comparison. Confuses people. The pic that shows the japanese/chinese characters stickers. Are those for the KO or non-KO?

I guess that shows how good these look, I couldn't tell the difference, lol

    I saw the original thread:
    [] ?MP08?|? - ? - Powered by phpwind

Basically the KO out of the box has red eyes. For comparison pictures (probably taken after it's out of the package for a while) the OP switched the KO to blue eyes and Takara to red eyes.

Yeah, although I previously stated that many people were saying the Loose MP-08 were KO, there are many people saying the loose MP-08 were just left over from factory.

Anyway, hopefully all these would make all versions of MP-08 more affordable...

The button that activates the spring loaded snapping jaw is tooled a little differently between the two as well.
Seems more defined on the KO. Conversely, the rivet detailing on the upper part of the Jaw on the KO seems less
    defined (?)

you mean "evidence". for all anyone knows reissue grimlock was planned long before the KO was released. also its a hasbro asia takara version reissue....aka lets look at ebay/auction prices and plan a release accordingly arm of hasbro. i don't know why you continue to push the thinking that KOs FROCE reissues?

where is reissue encore scorpinock? where is reissue mp red alert? cmon now. both KOs and reissues happen because they are both gauging market demand. plain and simple.

Yah I noticed that too. Dont know what to make of it.

There was another thread recently here that was asking for help on identifying if there MP-08 is a KO and the only thing I can figure that seems to identify the KOs are the sprue marks on the Robot head as pointed out by X2O toys gallery. I compared this to my Hasbro MP-08 and it was consistent.

Correction the head vizor does work but it needed tremendous amount of force to move up and down

I don't think there's as direct a correlation as the other poster seems to see, but, in fairness, via BBTS:

MP-14 MASTERPIECE RED ALERT - 2ND PRODUCTION RUN
With a confirmed 2nd production run, those who missed out the first time will have a chance to pick up this great figure. Red Alert is listed at $79.99.
