I think Warbo will do great with their version of not-Menasor. If anything, it will for sure look better than Hasbro's offering.

But alas, no update.

Man, the official Menasor combiner is so freaking hideous. Can't believe someone in authority at Hasbro signed off on that design. What's with the bullhorns???

 

Third parties are a huge threat.... to my wallet.  

 

With the great individual car modes besides the stupid SUV, this could have been a great combiner...but being Hasbro and catering to the blind, this is what they produce.

 

Hasbro's latest directive to IDW:

"We need you do draw combiners that look exactly like our latest cost-saving toy designs. As long as you draw them that way fans will buy them because they're 'comic accurate'. They're such suckers...er...I mean valued fans!"

 

Eh. I have fp m3. I love it. Will be getting warbos when it comes out. And Hasbro's too. I hardly put it in the same league as the previous two, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as people are making it out to be.

Let's be realistic for a sec:

Hasbro has much tighter limitations. They have to make this affordable to everyone. It has to appease both collectors and young kids that just want a fun toy. It has to be engineered in a way that looks SOMEWHAT like what we know, but not to the point that kids can't play with it. With those things in mind, people really should take a step back and realize what it is they're bashing so hard. Sure there are things that could and should have been better. Just my opinion.

As I said, hasbro can't hold a candle to m3 or even warbos silhouette. But I guess I have a more realistic view of Hasbro's attempts.

I like some of the single bots, so I'll probably pick up the set just for that. Deffo M3 or Warbo if you actually want a decent looking Menasor though.

 

Not really tfc's actually has fairly decent proportions, its just blocky.

I was messing with my m3 earlier today and I'm absolutely still jonsing for a new menasor and I think we could be in for something special with Warbos.

Its probably not fair to pick on hasbro so much since they do have budget constraints and design limitations to work within that third parties often do not, but they still could have done a better job and yeah as much as I pick on their menasor I do like their DeadEnd, Breakdown and Motormaster quite a bit. I just wish that combined mode didn't look like a 5 year old scribbled on some toilet paper.

 

The scary thing is some ppl like it. I know we all like different things but it's times like this where I wonder if ppl are supporting something just in the hope they carry on and get better?

Difference there is Defensor is supposed to have a chunky torso. Menasor not so much.

 

People who say such things tend to pull the "well its soo much cheaper!" card also. Which yeah sure, it is, but that doesn't excuse poor design. Their were RiD and Armada combiners that were even cheaper than that menasor is probably going to be and many of those still hold up decently today. I still looooove my Omega Prime so much, man what an awesome figure. Very top heavy but geez is he still a bad ass toy.

I do not know which Menasor to choose;
Buy TransformMission Menasor, or wait for Warbotron Menasor.
So Warbotron still exists

Iam in contact with Generation Toys and TransFormMission
(TransformMission is a side Brand from GT) and they said, they are NOT
Warbotron. Only that former Designers from Warbotron work for them now.

So i still want to know, if an Warbotron Menasor is coming the next Months or not.

What bugs me most is: Warbotron was so FAST in showing new Prototype Pictures...
Bruticus was not even finished and they already showed Computron...
and NOW????? NOTHING. But right NOW, we could need some Pictures,
to know which Menasor to choose next, or which is the better one.

 

You literally just revived an almost 16 month old thread just to ask about the status to a probably still ongoing project...

As I said to JazzPrime in the X-Mortis thread, just because a project is inactive for a long while doesn't mean it's not cancelled or ceased production.

 

That is why i asked if there is something new.
