Might be a worthwhile item to make... considering the recently released TFCC Jackpot figure... who lacks his old partner from the G1 toy.

Another pun... Your TFs have the right to Bear Arms... *rimshot*

I think I mentioned that already....

Anyways, how about Bangaroo? Buma Puma and of course the jet powered robotic heavy weapons sheep known as Dive Baaah-mb?

Great concept, not 100% sold on the execution at this stage but still excited.

    Throwing out some thoughts:

No to clear weapons, they always looks silly as guns.

I realize you want to be unique/original but don't be afraid to get all G1 up in this bitch.

Some new pics to show off some of what you can do with just one Ursenal. Who says a bear head isn't an effective weapon?

The standard Cybertronian heavy weapons compliment... rifles, missile launchers, a hammer and a Cyber-bear head on a stick. ;-)

I dunno... the more I see, the more it looks like a mess. Most the pieces are just too small to look good by themselves.

Will these be properly molded and cast? Or are they 3D printed? Like I said, love the idea... but looks extremely low-quality and detail so far.

These are hand-painted 3d printed prototypes (using the Frosted Detail Plastic through Shapeways). The gray paint is entirely so the details can be seen, since they're otherwise semitransparent.

The final product will be injection molded from the original cad Designs. Here are some renders of those cad files about .2 of a revision back (the back end of the hammer has since gotten some more molded detail and the hex-bolt has been converted into a full 5mm peg):

We are going intentionally 80's retro with the designs in many ways (reference the logo style, for instance), thus the style of the parts. The flat surfaces are a part of this. What's an awesome 80s robot toy without sticker detailing?

Interested to know the price and the initial colors that it will be available in.

Maybe you should do a poll to see that colors people would like to buy it in?

We aren't ready to announce prices yet. We're still figuring out certain elements of the cost-structure.

As for starting colors, those will be announced soon. Stay tuned.

Interesting idea. If you have any Kickstarter questions feel free to contact me and I'll answer as best I can. I've run three projects of my own, helped run our office Kickstarter project, and have offered advice and helped with a few other projects.

I like the basic concepts you've got here and would like to see another cool toy project succeed on Kickstarter. There's still not a large enough base for toys at Kickstarter and we -- everyone who loves toys -- needs the toy audience at Kickstarter to be significantly larger and stronger.

Behold, first-renders of the evil Paraxxoid tentatively known as Mantaxe, an axe-blaster combo. Mantaxe is the first mini-BMOG, a size-class that will include BMOGs that use 2-3 parts or teams of one-piece BMOGs. In this case, he separates into a battle-axe and a double barreled laser pistol.

Mantaxe will serve as Ursenal's rival and assortment-mate.

Might be a nice weapon/partner for the TFCC Depth Charge.

So Ursenal and Mantaxe come packaged together?

That's still being worked out. In order to keep the figures as inexpensive as possible, Mantaxe and Ursenal are going to be gang-molded. We are currently exploring distribution options. For the purposes of Kickstarter rewards, they will be available separately, but the final retail version may be as a double-pack.

Kickstarter, eh? It's pretty obvious, but I would suggest having some special backer-only colors. Maybe lucky draw-esque gold and silver chrome, or even some "deluxe edition" fully painted versions. You could allow a higher end reward be something like allowing someone to choose one of the colorways.

Probably another good reason why the BMOG are all original non-homage toys huh? Making them Kickstarters, they would be easily shut down by a complaint letter.

I'll buy one set of each color. I won't say the price I would pay though, as that would upset some people.
