Yeah that's for the best, also a size around mp-10(for example) would give this fella more playability.

 

16 inches is not tall enough for metroplex or fortress maximus to even bother with.

Come on Titan scale!

A large base mode would give him much more playability than mp10, and if he's mp10 size his base mode (if he even has one) would be small :/

 

I'm not able to share any more details just yet (because I honestly don't know them), but I'm really hoping for IDW style and size, and looking at the throne, I would guess that is the design influence. Cassy is busy and I haven't had time to chat.

No, that's just a pallet reversal, but I found it humorous that reversing Overlord makes him red and green, so I made him the Cybertronian Santa.

I am at a loss here...I am so excited that my favorite company is making Overlord!!! My wife gave me a weird look and asked me why I was smiling...then promptly rolled her eyes.

I never knew of Overlord until I read the IDW series. I never cared about Six Shot until MMC gave us Hex. This was always meant to be. I think it will go very well with PE's Warden and that makes it even better.

 

I would like an Overlord in a nice, reasonable size - I believe that any MMC Overlord will not be less than about 10 inches tall (which is Hexatron height or slightly taller), but preferably 12 inches. Would be a taller than Hex to make a difference (since Overlord is a Decepticon leader) but not so large as to make him look extremely out of place in a display of large TFs.

If people want to display a huuuge Overlord, putting a 12 inch Overlord next to Classics-sized figures would do the visual trick. For me, the 16, 18 or even 24 inches that some are asking for would be too tall for bot mode, where IMO the emphasis should always be. That kind of size would only be preferable in base/city mode. A 16 - 24 inch Overlord would also take up a metric duckton of space and probably bump the cost up to an aneurysm-inducing level. There would have be lots of detail in such a huge figure so that it wouldn't look overly simple, and that would probably bump up cost/increase the risk of the detail making the figure too busy instead of at Goldilocks level.

[add] In fact, I would have absolutely no problems if MMC dropped any base mode if it meant that bot and alt modes would be less compromised. Mega Child is a must. And I don't like the fat lips but that may the price of an IDW-styled Overlord. If that has to be the case I hope that the head is easily removable to allow for other head options down the road.
