So I see that the voting for this set worked very much like the American Government. The SDCC got more votes than the retail version. And if you count the votes for the almost identical Platinum version, you double the amount of votes the retail version received. Yet the retail version is going to be made first.

 

BY ONE VOTE, and no one got the majority. Besdies, what was the vote total at the day X-Transbots had to decide? Was SDCC winning then? What was the vote total on the other web sites that were counting votes too?

Anyways, we don't know when the OTHER versions of the upgrade set are coming out. If it's a week or two later for the SDCC or G2, who cares who was first?

Or it could be that they also did a poll in Asia and got more votes over there for the retail/fruiticus release.

 

Was the technicolor version even available in Asia or was it only the TT version?

Hell, I won't lie, I'm glad this one was released first. I got Fruiticus. Didn't bother with the other versions, as I didn't care for the g2 colors and the SDCC was outta my price range...and this was before the Bruti vs Grimmy pack was announced. It makes sense to release the retail version that was available everywhere, save Japan, first. Then you release the other colors that fit the less numerous versions.

 

Ugh Fruiticus, I'm out.

 

Out from what? They're releasing Fruiticus version first. This doesn't translate to: Fruiticus version only.

No but it does translate to me not being interested in this anymore, by the time they get around to the better decos the voyager sized FOC Onslaught that was teased recently may very well be on the verge of being released. Might as well just wait for that instead of this.

 

Has that even been confirmed to be a thing and not some shapeways custom? Also, don't you think that will (if it does get sold) be sold as the fruiticus color first right? It's the most prevalent deco, and engineers and marketing people have got to eat.

Although, maybe Fruiticus Onslaught and SDCC/Platinum limbs would be nice. Wasn't Onslaught more blue in FoC than what the SDCC/Platinum releases showed?

I may have mentioned it before, but I'd absolutely love it if the Voyager Onslaught was released, and the back of the vehicle mode was compatible with this upgrade set in trailer mode. As a wise little mexican girl once said: "Why not both?"

 

You're running just as big of a risk waiting for that Voyager Onslaught than you do for the preferred deco of Echo's kit. But hey, it's your decision and $$. In the end it's what ever floats your boat.

 

Meh at that point I could hold out until the SDCC/platinum ver is held out.
