A fun way to have all your extra parts do something other than just lay around. This is a fantastic set that helps the original figure look way better IMO.

Btw, for all you Boosticus fans, Echo is holding contest on his Facebook page that ends 5 days. Prize is a new thigh filler painted in the deco of your choice for your Boosticus'd figure. :thumb

But Onslaught in the game never had such a trailer. I guess that's what the Military Titan is for: game accuracy. Boosticus is merely for general, unspecific improvement, not accuracy improvement. But then neither company has made game accurate weapons. There's a project for ya, Echo; make game accurate guns.

I don't know how much more game accurate Military Titan is. If we're comparing alternate modes, Boosticus adds a game innacurate trailer. Military Titan adds game innacurate guns to Vortex and blastoff, as well as the weird armor plated platform for Swindle and the (sweet) missile pods for Brawl. Also, Onslaught is now out of scale from the rest of team.

I'd say they are just different necessary design compromises. Boosticus needs somewhere to store the bits when not combined, and the trailer lets you do that while also providing homage to a previous Bruticus.

Military Titan just chooses to tackle the same problem in a different way.

Sidenote, I wish I could just buy the Brawl parts of Military Titan. I actually really like the trailer on Boosticus, and was not too impressed with Military Titan's Vortex, Blastoff, or Swindle upgrades, but the way the Brawl add-ons integrate to the rest of the figure, and stay integrated during transformation to robot mode is really slick. I dunno, I do kind of like the new Onslaught, maybe if the set gets a little cheaper I'll pick it up and try and pick and choose what upgrades I want to use. Am I mistaken in thinking that there are shapeways adapters coming out in order to use the normal arm configurations with the Military Titan Onslaught somewhere?

We're all aware FoC Onslaught had no trailer.

The reason behind the kit was to enhance FoC Bruticus to a better looking aesthetic (and closer to the game material) while also providing a homage to the G1 Onslaught whom had a trailer (which was usually shown holding Blastoff).

The whole kit was a large project in scope. I have a manuscript Echo sent me when I got his Boosticus kit. It has a lot of interesting tid-bits in it. I can post some of the stuff if you all want (and once I get his consent).

Speaking of Onslaught alone, Military Titan is spot on for FoC Onslaught. But you are correct regarding that figure's size as well as all the addition for the rest of the FoC Combaticons.

    Depends on your tastes.

It goes without saying that Military Titan's Onslaught blows Has/Tak's Onslaught out of the water, as well as provide a voyager sized figure (which adds both heft and height to the combined mode). However, the add-ons for the rest of the team is plentiful, requires one to partially disassemble two of the FoC figures for combined mode, and there are talks of an unstable "feel" to him.

Boosticus' kit is more of a general add-on set that upgrades the team overall. Though this set doesn't have a replacement fig (meaning one still has FoC Onslaught), it does aid in providing a better look for the combined form and for those that like G1, pays homage to the G1 team. There are pros and cons to each. I can speak on the Boosticus kit's behalf on its sturdiness (and it holds very well). I cannot speak on the sturdiness of the Military Titan set as I do not own one (but several here can attest).

I for one am extremely happy about the Boosticus kit. I went on a whim and bought the G2 version of Bruticus and the G2 Boosticus kit. My first ever combiner and 3rd-party add-on kit. I am beyond happy about it, even made a custom rifle for him, may not be accurate but extremely satisfying. :3

Shapeways has FoC to CW/UW port adapters so you can use the limb bots with CW Voyagers. Even in the disgusting G2 colors they look good, especially with this set.

If you'd like, I have this exact thing coming soon. Keep in mind that it will be a bit before it arrives, and my Bruticus was custom painted by a previous buyer.
