yeahh this looks pretty bad, and that's bad as in bad.. The hinges being visible like that are awful, and that it makes an oval and doesn't make a circle when transformed. Looks very rushed and lazy. Ill wait for the other one..

 

The one area this trailer wins is that Prime can actually stand in the middle of the ring like in the movie, which is not the case on the UFO trailer because the trailer wheels are in the way.

 

Anyone feel like posting a couple of DOTM screen captures ?

I'd like a trailer that can do the weapon display trick - can also turn into a flying chair and can also truncate in length and make a stealth force mode for striker Prime.

I would also like the jetpack & cannons to be storable on top of the trailer to mix it up a bit.

A bit to much to ask ?

That Optimus has Chromed Replacement hands I notice. I don't think I've seen a striker shield that shiny before.

What do you actually get with the Trailer anything at all - Odd that they didn't bother to show a vehicle mode image at all.

 

From what I've seen of the UFO trailer, I like the vehicle mode of this one more. Looks more screen accurate. The UFO one seems to have a better ring mode.

 

I'll be holding out for UFO's much better looking version.

I can't wait to see it installed onto Optimus. I am surprised to hear that this trailer uses rubber tires.

 

I keep waiting for photos of one of these things that actually sell me. Between the cost and the crazy amount of space it will require to actually display it I'm just not sold. (especially since MP-10's trailer doesn't look bad parked on his back- and even though it's too short that's hard to find space for)

Sure enough my camera died after taking a few pics. Ugh!

It's great in trailer mode, especially with the chrome logos (not shown installed), but the ring mode doesn't feel all that good. A bit of a crude build with all the tiny hinges, bolts and nuts. You often have to readjust it once transformed even though both sides are locked, since it's more or less free to deform. To me, it looks more like a good (not great) kitbash sent to production in a semi-finished state. Transformation is not all that complicated, with panels to open up, fold an lock. It's pretty intuitive. This one will probably stay in trailer mode and the UFO one in ring mode.











I think the bolts for the upper rear panels will eventually have to be cut flush against the nuts because I can't fold them like on the pictures right now.

Honestly, I don't recommend it unless you're a Prime completist like me.

 

La boite quasiment vide vaut plus que mon Optimus Prime. En plus il y a plein de defauts.

J'ai eu mon Prime for 3$ complet chez village des valeurs.

just kidding. I do love the the trailer mode. Looks fanastic.

 

With the chrome stickers, it looks really good. Sadly, the chrome stickers can't save the ring mode.

That looks..... horrendous... though I can't fault the company for trying, back then 3rd party was still very new, no? If one of the 3rd parties make this for MP-10 mold, /that/ would be interesting
