TFC is blatantly holding something back in order to make YOU pay more money. It's not after the fact "Let's try making this better." They do this on purpose.

And I'm guessing these will be the same size as TFCs other bots and gestalts (IF in fact this is the beginning of Defensor)...I have no interest in cars the same size as jets or monster construction equipment...nor do I have any interest in these vehicles being much larger than FPs Stunticons set i'll eventually have...not to mention TFCs expected $80 (at the lowest BEFORE shipping) per figure price...

Anyone denying that is delusional...

Dang it, I want him and Groove to be a deluxe or (at maximum) a SMALL voyager, with First Aid and Blades being small-to-medium voyagers and Hot Spot an average voyager. This is one time where I like a variety of sizes in a gestalt, and a time where I want the limbs to be deluxe rather than the voyagers I wanted for the Constructicons and Predacons.

 

Hercules + Addon = ok
Uranos + Addon = ok
Ares + unannounced addon = will look better than the initial release which doesn't even hold a stick to MMC or UT's Predaking offerings
How is that hard to understand

1. Yes I do because it scales with the combiners I have, Uranos while yes the limb look awesome and yes the scale size makes sense. But the fact Silverbolt is so crappy and they are milking it with an addon it turns me off from the release all together.

2. I don't buy into that mentality at all, to me it is a money grab and that is how I'm always going to see it. They had feedback way before they ever showed off the rumored POS 6th figure. They don't just go all of a sudden and make an upgrade kit for a set because people want it, they are planned from the beginning so they can take more money from people that have the same mindset as you. With so many 3rd parties out there I'm giving mine to the ones that:
a) listen
b) release stuff in a timely manner(ok no company is really doing this yet)
c) release it right the 1st time
d) creates a true interpretation of the source material(molding and paint)
e) produces figures at a reasonable 3rd party cost, a $500+ combiner no thanks never going to buy into that.

 

Hey TFC, how about actually finishing that combiner that you perfectly could have done better before you announce another two combiner projects?

Do people know TFC did more than make Hercules and Uranos? Oh well.... Fanboys gotta complain, even if there is nothing to complain about. They are already assuming an add on for Ares and not-named-Defensor, so they can complain about them now. I mean why wait for there to be an actual problem when you can cry wolf now?

 

If there's an actual problem, like the stuff the Fanboys are complaining about, do we get a free pass when we bring it up again?

 

If they complain now and it doesn't happen, I'm sure they will all post apology letters.

 

I don't care what size it is, Defensor was my first Autobot combiner as a kid and I will pick him up again when/if this does actually become available. Maybe my only nitpick is that he is a Mustang, as barricade already uses the body style. The Charger, for me, would have been a cooler choice, since they are actual everyday use cop cars, but that is just my opinion

 

Ok lets see:
Iron Army - still waiting on that core bot they teased

Proton - Looks like crap, again nothing like reflector over than the fact it turns into a camera

Tragetroids - Umm yeah those are an easy pass

Coronation Set for MP Screamer - Again the initial release was crap paint apps, with some horribly cut plastic fabric cape - sure they changed the cape eventually but not in time for people that already bought the crap version.

Gears of War set - 1 of the only good thing they've done IMO, besides Iron Army but until I see a core figure released....

Gears of War 2 - Meh

Battle Roller - While cool, sold mine along time ago because it just didn't have a place in my collection

Bayverse Junk releases - prime swords and an allspark, let me throw a parade LOL

Of course the all elusive Cliffjumper upgrade, which I do have and do enjoy, but the headsculpt is mush but better than using Bee's head

So yeah still not impressed by TFC, they are 2 for 2 on upgrade kits for combiners, what makes you think they will stop.

 

The likelyhood of that happening is very, very, very, one more, very slim...

 

Yeah, they made add-ons for their combiners to make them nicer. Those bastards! Don't they know that we don't like add on kits making things nicer!

I love the Iron Army toys, and failing to add a 5th bot should make you happy since it would be an expensive add on!

It's Gear of War, not Gears, and I enjoyed both sets and Shadow Rollar. If you can't fit him into a set, that's your problem.

I really don't think you can complain that they made Bayverse crap. That fits perfectly with the official Bayverse crap asthetic! Oh look, crap for the crap figures.

But, they're literally holding these add-on kits back from the combiner product. Their goal isn't to make the figure nicer, it's a cash grab.

Wow... I absolutely love the fact that they are using the 2011 and newer Mustang for the vehicle mode. Just for that fact alone I will be buying this bad boy! Can't wait!!!

 

so soured on TFC from their handling of uranos i'm not even excited. i actually like my hercules despite all the problems it had (i'm still using my original heavy labor hips btw) and the fact that you needed the rage kit to make it look better (and then you need the shapesway kit to make that look better lol).

i'm going with and wait and see attitude like i did with uranos (i will probably not pick him up unless i can get him cheap at some point...i guess i should preorder the wings of uranos set lol).

 

A company making an add-on for something they originally made is the problem, should have been right the 1st time.

They have showed a core member for Iron army which would make them a complete set instead of just 4 random characters that just connect to a PCC figure that looks nothing like a WWII vehicle. Iron Army is awesome but it's incomplete.

The Bayverse wasn't a complaint, it was a statement that I could give a flying fuck if they released it or not - but they both look like crap compared to other offerings on the market.

And yes Battle Roller is a cool figure, but 1) isn't a real character and 2) aesthetically speaking doesn't really fit any line of TFs

You had made a statement about people not acknowledging their other releases and I did just that, listed releases and my consensus on them. TFC has yet to really impress me they way FP, MMC, MT, PE and MI have.
