Oh good, 5 minutes into seeing a prototype, and people are already trashing it for expected shortcomings...

Yes because that is the track record they have built for themselves. They have no one to blame but themselves. Not to mention the Not-Streetwise looks nothing like streetwise so again it is showing us their companies shortcomings in designing figures.

I don't know cars enough to know what his G1 self was---I just know he wasnt a boxy-nosed Mustang. A fourth-gen Camaro was the first thing that came to mind as a newer sleek-nosed model that is used by police.

I care little about the specific model for an update, merely the "overall look". And a Mustang is totally not "the look" for Streetwise.

I apologize in advance for a being a Debbie Downer, but God damn it. Any company besides TFC. I don't want to bash TFC too much, but if this is a Defensor project it's going to come in at $100 a pop. Not even close to being worth it for me personally. I have to watch this though and HOPE the pricing is adjusted.

Ok and I've seen the same in tuner cars that can't be touched by an American pos, to each their own, but when you are creating something based off source material you want to follow it as much as possible, something TFC hasn't been able to do with any of their releases

I disagree a bit, TFC hasn't been as bad as other companies. Uranos is pretty damn close with the exception of Not-Silver Bolt and I have NO complaint about Hercules. They are nice MODERN interpretations of the Classics we grew up with. And so far Ares with the exception of Headstrong looks promising, but I am sticking with MMCs for that one.

I hope they're not voyager sized...a voyager size police car would look too out of place with all my other deluxe cars.

Don't get me wrong, I want this to happen and hope that its an actual project that TFC is pursuing, but dammit, is this yet another reason they haven't bothered to finish Uranos yet??? I just want my last two bots that should be stupidly easy to produce as they are retools of existing figures.

Back on track, I really hope TFC does Defensor. I typically don't have any problem with their design choices, it isn't until the coloring phase that they tend to jack things up. Despite that, I would love to own a TFC-style Defensor.

Hurcules becomes ok once you buy the rage set, same goes for Uranos, Ares looks like crap compared to MMC and even UT.

The fact is compared to Giant, Hercules is lacking in detail and style, not to mention you have to buy 7 releases to make it truly complete, and even more on Shapeways to make it look close to as good as Giant looks.

Uranos is the only Superion out unless you count the FP upgrade which I still prefer because Silverbolt looks like complete crap and again you have to buy a 6th release to get it to look proper.

I'm sure the same will be true for Ares and this, 5 bots(plus some lame 6th bot probably) then a 6th release as an upgrade kit to make it look the way it should from the beginning.

TFC has yet to release a combiner that I want to purchase, Uranos was close but again the fact they did the upgrade kit turned me off completely.

Not thrilled with the design of TFC's combiners anymore and not to mention the scale. I'll wait until MMC or fansproject tackles it.

    1) You honestly believe that having 4/5 being almost spot on, with 1 being meh is WORSE than 5 crappy figures with an add-on kit?

    2) They gave us something to make the combined mode fantastic, and you get pissed? Sure, it should have been included, but at least we have it

    o.o
