By "clear" he probably just means transparent the way MP-12, 14, 17, 18 & 19's are. And I agree with him. Nice tinted transparent windows vs. matte painted squares supposed to be windows should be a no-brainer on the manufacturers part.

On another note, I'm pretty impressed by this even though I likely won't buy it. Very clever how the alt mode is now in scale with with others yet retained the smaller 'minibot' mode scale.

Sweet, though I wish they'd find a way to tuck those rear wheels in when he's in robot mode.

Is it likely that in the final version the windows will be transparent, that they just try to safe money on the prototype where the expense isn't necessary? That's what I assumed. If I'm wrong, the opaque windows will diminish my enthusiasm only very slightly. The rest of the figure is magnificent enough to make the windows trivial, IMO.

X-Transbots said the final version will have transparent windows. They also mention they have access the machinery that chromes parts now, so you can see chrome on future figures where it's needed.

Has X-Transbots made anything that didn't have problems?

These guys look good but I'm really tired of paying a premium for figures full of QC issues.

This company was CHMS, and with all the figures they manufactured they never got one right.

And no, their seekers were not that great.

Very nice, can't wait to see Stax finished. Wonder if they'll have both molds done around the same time or if they'll be a few weeks apart.

Yes very nice. Can't wait to see stax. Also every company weather or not they have had Robles in the past does not mean they can't grow and learn and evolve. The longer these companies do this the better they will get. I am confident these figures will be great.

Honestly this toy has very little to do with the previous X-Transbots Devstator upgrade and not Powerglide. It has a different designer, and is being made in a different plant. The only thing it has in common is the same buy backing it financially, so he gets his company name on it.

Hmmm…if the windows are transparent, will there be light shining into Krank's hood/backpack when he's in robot mode? The idea seems strange.

    Good question.

Scaleface, is Masishadow correct in that comment?

I'm curious about something.. With MP Sideswipe, many people got upset if their figure had a flaw such as a chip or bubble in the paint, and they returned it. It seems figures labeled with "Masterpiece" are held to a higher standard. So with a company that has a history of poor QC like X-Transbots making an MP, chances are the toy will be less than perfect. If you get a figure with really bad paint or super floppy limbs, are you going to treat it the same as if you got a shitty Takara Masterpiece, or will you cut them some slack because they're 3rd party?

It is a different group doing Krank and Stax but has the same guy from Xtransbots backing it financially, so any past QC issues most likely will not be apparent with this release, however that does open the door to new QC issues.

I believe a guy named 539 is the guy designing the toys, and mold maker is X-Moldings (who make a ton of molds for different 3P companies).

Short answer - I'd like to see MP Warpath, Seaspray and Powerglide done about the size of MP Lambor/Sideswipe.

    The long:

The problem with making Warpath about the same size as a Krank (who I think is about Deluxe height?) is he would be about the size of Generations Warpath. So it would make sense to make a Warpath of some scale he's never existed as a toy before... like the size of a Voyager (when I say Voyager, I consider MP Lambor is a Voyager). At this size class he would fit well as a MP by being the size he was in the G1 cartoons (Warpath was depicted as the size of an Autobot car), and he would fit into Classics as a larger figure who was upsized to Voyager. Repaint possibilities would have to include Tredsand Shattered Glass.

Seaspary has been made in Voyager size, but the Voyager Seaspray was not very G1. If someone did a Voyager Seaspray it would have to be more G1 than the movie Seaspray. Repaint possibilities would include G2, Shattered Glass and Octopunch.

I'd love to see a highly detailed version of the X-Transbots Glider done in high quality and standing Voyager size. Then he would be a bit shorter than MP Seekers, and would fit in with them (being a short guy they could push around), or be a bigger Classics toy.
